I have tried really slow speed with new blades. I will change my cutting protection strip since it has had some impacts. Hope this may help. I hope I dont need to keep changing the blade every so often for just one roll.
  4. Cutting Phototex

I was wondering if the summa T series would help as its a tangential cutter and will follow the direction of the cut path rather than a rotary cutter which will drag along the cut path hence not cutting fully such strong materials like the phototex. Please help!

  7. Full wrap of a grey car with plain white vinyl!

wow, appreciate all your replies. Funny nonetheless!!! You gave me a great idea - wrap the car before stealing a bank ... hahaa. Apart from that, wrap it so it will have better resale value too... many ways to convince the customer. Nano idea is the best... hehee. Now you know I am from...
  8. Full wrap of a grey car with plain white vinyl!

This is a request we got where the customer wants to wrap his grey suzuki car fully with just plain white vinyl. I plan to use 3M IJ180C for this but I think this will be much more expensive than a good old paint job (I am not sure though). In that case I might use 3M IJ40C for the flat door...

Okay... will follow your method. I just went through the file sizes, and I realized that I over-exaggerated (10x :) - the files sizes are between 100mb-1GB size. These files occupied almost 10GB space. Seems like these are rasterised images which are saved. Thanks joes..
  10. versaworks stores srf files of many GB sizes

  12. anyone ever use wrap/printable vinyl for lightbox?

How do you make sure you get the alignment right when printing on two surfaces? If there is major details in the graphic - for eg: a photograph then I find that it becomes blurred... also some times the two different medias on which printed stretch differently
  13. Frost film strips placement and application method

Thanks for the advice... So it looks like Half Force cut is not a tried and tested method? I am not finding anything in the forums either about this. Just about Half-Cut i.e. in a hyphenated cut line format. I was thinking a continuous cut at lower force could help as these panels are so big...
  14. Frost film strips placement and application method

Hi, I have to do some print and cut on frost film that would be applied on a large office window partition around 6 ft by 13 ft. The final effect would be like the image attached which is also one of my jobs but went wrong in the finishing. I plan to redo this job and want to make sure the...
