Choosing the Pathfinder command did away with the outline image that was causing the problem. So apparently the designer had already converted the text to an object. I don't recall if I had to un-group before hand. I don't have internet access at work so I have to go from memory, and there is...
I finally had a chance to look at this file again. With the text selected, the main color was displayed as a question mark, and the stroke as the slash icon. I was not able to duplicate my previous fix of ungrouping or breaking path.
Good advise, thank you. I'll give these ideas a try tomorrow. I am familiar with selecting the slash icon to remove the contour cut color from text. I would just need to know the color of the stroke to delete it. Black I presume. Due to workload I don't have time to get on the internet at work...
Our designer keeps sending me text to cut from CS4 with some kind of thin outline or stroke on the letters. It makes the plotter cut the image twice. So I have to select each character separately and delete the ghost image before I can send it to the cutter. I've ask her about it and she says...
A better question would be, why does it bother you so much Bob? It affects you in no way. You would like to think you know it all. But, you don't know that I don't have access to a dumpster at my shop, because there is no place to put one. You don't know that there is a limit to how much...
So there is no confusion, this is what we are talking about. They are 6.5in square. I can give you an address and if you want to send me a prepaid call tag I'll send them to you.
I've collected hundreds of the plastic core-mounts used to space the rolls of vinyl for shipping. I call them "feet" because I also used them to set the 54" rolls on after I unpack them.
The local recycling place says they can't take them for some reason. Even though they are marked as a 2...
Well I spent a lot of time clicking around HP environmental looking for instructions on returning this thing. Lot's of reading material on how they are committed to protecting the environment and sustainability etc. No instructions on how to return the cartridge.
I've been using the Latex for less than two years so not long enough to make a first-hand judgement. But my feeling is that it is at least as durable as Solvent.
Maybe just because it's dry immediately out of the machine, but in handling the prints around the shop here while laminating etc. they...
Too bad you don't live closer to Oklahoma. I have everything you would need to get started. Although if you're going to do vehicle wraps my 54in printer probably wouldn't be ideal.
I have used the left-over ink to dye glass, making some colorful decorative bottles. And I also have a box of broken glass that I've collected over the years. So I'm thinking of using it to make a stained-glass window.
When I get time.
I thought I remembered hearing something about that. But I'm keeping all my refuse ink and depleted cartridges. Because someday I'm going to use it for something. I'm not sure what yet. I just know I will.
A customer brought me artwork she had created on Power-Point today so I opened it in PP and re-saved it as a PDF. I didn't put a stopwatch on it but the RIP time using Flexi-basic was painfully slow. Probably fifteen minutes. Always happens when customers are watching. I wondered if it would...
I had a design printed on 8000 mounted to the outside brick wall for display purposes at my last shop. The landlord got all pissy because he thought I had painted his wall. He never figured out exactly what I did.
Found this used CZ681A Maintenance Cartridge from my L310 in the storage room. I replaced it a few months ago. Am I supposed to be sending this back to HP to recycle or something? It feels like maybe it's got refuse ink inside, so probably not a good idea to just pitch it?
I'm using O.3169GRA / O.215 for everything right now, including fleet graphics. I'm sure it wouldn't work on complex car-wraps, but I don't do those anyway.
