Looking for feedback on any GF202 alternatives. We use this for small indoor stickers, and it has to be removeable. The 202 is great for that requirement, but lately the white point on the rolls has been pretty bad, like the newer stuff has a blue tint to it.
So, I am finally replacing my HP Latex and have narrowed it down to the Mimaki UCJV300 or Epson S60600. The print quality on the Epson is stunning compared to the Mimaki and the old HP POS, but the UV of the Mimaki and layering and white ink is very interesting to me at a slightly lower print...
Stickergiant has a cool facebook ad running talking about how they use lasers for their die and kiss cut vinyl lam stickers, which is an awesome ad btw.
Just curious if they use special vinyls for this? I've read and been told that laser cutting regular vinyl is a no no due to the gas that is...
Hey Folks,
I've been working with a small customer of mine that required some laminated vinyl signs for their facility that they can use industrial cleaner on and not worry about the colors coming off. Basic stuff, use overlam and not a problem, however...
After a couple different cleaning...
Hey All,
Just curious if anyone is running one of these yet, as they are fairly new models and the pricing is pretty good.
Comparing this to the Epson SureColor S40600, both cmyk, both single head.
Use case is indoor stickers/decals with close up viewing, which the HP Latex is horrible for.
Hey Folks,
Fellers has a pretty good sale on the 1624X, basically 50% off and including 2 year warranty, delivered and installed. Bringing the machine in at $9K.
I've not been happy with my HP Latex for any of our sticker printing due to the grainy prints, the 12 pl droplet size, etc.
Will...
Hey All,
I've got 2 Summa cutters, a S75T and S140T. I use original Summa blades and cutting strip replacements, but I dread having to change my blades and cutting strips every few months. There is no consistency after I change things out.
1. Removing the blade holder, I count the number of...
Hey All,
I have an HP 310 that is giving me sensor/fan/curing errors and aborting jobs, I'd much prefer to pay a tech outside of HP to come and take a look at it and fix it if possible then give HP another penny.
Send me a message if you are interested.
Oracal sent me a printed sample of their new 3258 sticker/decal vinyl, stuff looks pretty good, but I'm more impressed with the print quality.
Anyone have someone on the inside at Orcal that can find out what printer they used to print these samples on?
Also, I can't tell if this is laminated...
Hey All, Having a weird issue with my HP 310 Latex. I have a case open with HP, support is trying to help, but it is moving slow and at this point they don't have any answers nor making any real progress.
What happened..
- Print quality issues, banding on blues/oranges/reds, ran a drop test...
Hey All,
I have a Graphtec FC8600-130 (54") for sale, about 2 years old but only has about 20 hours of cutting time on it, if that. I mainly use my Summa for the single pass perf-cuts vs the 2 pass on the Graphtec.
I will also "throw in" a Gerber Edge, foils, and a GS15 Gerber Plotter - for...
Hey All,
I already own a Summa S2T which I LOVE, however I am looking for another "lower end" plotter, but I would like something that does the perf/flex cut and kiss/contour cut all in one pass like the Summa cutters do.
My Graphtec FC8600 requires me to change/move the blade for perf/flex...
Hey All,
I've been reading more about dye sublimation, and it looks like a lot of sublimation is used for smallish promotional stuff (cups, mugs, water bottles, etc) and clothing...just curious what people do with the large format printers 40"+ and bigger, like from Roland and Epson.
What are...
Hey All,
Have a Summa S2T that I absolutely love, except for when the time comes to change the blade in it. I have marks on the holder and rod to line them back up and use same number of rotations in and out to try and get it back to where it was...and for the most part this works fine.
The...
Hey All,
Can use some help and advice from the experts here! Finding solvent or latex media is pretty easy, at least compared to trying to find something that'll work with aqueous printers.
We do a lot of indoor stickers that are looked at close up, for notebooks, planners, laptops, etc. The...
Hey All,
I'm having a very odd and frustrating issue and looking to see if anyone has any ideas or feedback. I'm working with Flexi and Summa on the problem as well, but no real answers yet.
I create small stickers as part of our offering, I use Flexi 12 to do our designs and print/cut. A...
Looks like Gerber released Omega 6, they just forgot to put it on their site, announce it, or let anyone know?
I found out about it via an email from Hyatts...
