This piece is called 'The Signmakers Art', it was made from 784 cut-vinyl pieces and seventeen colours - I think!. Everything is cut-vinyl. Points of interest include the graduated scrolls top and bottom, the 'fingerprint' wave effect in the backgound and the multi-layered 'lion rampant'. There is an inscription on each of the brushes - one reads "steady hand, brave heart" and the other "measure twice, paint one". As with all 'Exhibition Grade' signs - this piece was designed by me, created from hand drawn original elements and then compiled direct to screen using just a mouse.
