  1. Mimaki JV33-160 using Epson DX5 Printhead (from Stylus Photo R2000)

I have no idea what is making the head print the strip. However I can tell you that i have ran several DX5 heads from epson printers over the years and they do work (at least the older ones did) BUT they do not last even with solvent manifolds. I dont know why but they never seemed to last any...
  2. Help with superimposing graphic over image.

Fresh glad you like it. It is not my video. I remember years ago reading posts here on signs 101 on vehicle wrap layouts. There was a guy (have not seem a post in a long time) called K1 I think. He had some good info I think you can still find it in the private areas of signs 101. Anyways ran...

  7. How to adjust JV33 Capping Station?

Ok first of all the cap has little tabs on the back side these are to guide it into place and the tab on the back left side also sets it to be at the end of the head so you really can not adjust it. However I reread your other post and what is happening is the head is moving and you have a gap...

I have moved to Blender myself current version blender 2.70. I have used 3Ds Max, Maya, C4D, True Space, Solidworks, and a few others always preffered 3Ds Max and Maya the most. I troed blender years ago didnt care for it then a friend talked me into trying it again version 2.69 and WOW is all I...
  9. Strange JV33 160 Capping Station Issue

When you power down with the green button the heads moves just a small amount to the left I noticed this on my JV33 as well however there is no gap between the head and capping station on my printer when powered down. i think you may need to adjust the capping station.
  10. Need advice on my shop's van wrap....

I feel that it still needs some work especially on everything below the company name. Also not a big fan of the fonts your using on the logo but anyway it is MUCH BETTER than before. Designing a wrap for your own company always seems to be the hardest wrap design go figure.
  11. Doing more vehicle wraps - need to add a dedicated wrap printer to our lineup

There are so many variables that you must think about and then buy the printer that fits you best. I run a mimaki JV33 with solvent inks and love it. I know people with latex and they love it. It really boils down to cost of printer, cost of ink, cost of maintenance, cost of power (latex are...
  12. plzz advice .. ultrasonic on dx7&5

Yes what art bot said. He knows his stuff. I can tell you from personal experience that even pushing flush through a DX5 head can blow it out. I learned that expenssive lesson the hard way. The DX5 heads are very fragile alot more so than the DX4. I use to push flush through the old DX4...
  13. Profile issues help

I will check the render intents and see what is what. I have converted 1 or 2 files because the new files he sent when printed were not the right colors and i knew it since I have printed lots of these logos for him in the past so I opened the files in illustrator and immediatly it says...

I have a mimaki JV33 160 I have built my own profile and all has been good except there is an issue between CMYK nad RGB files when printed. Here the issue colors seem to be right when designed in cmyk and saved with a cmyk profile in illustrator but when designed in RGB and saved with an RGB...

Take the dampner off the hannel that is it working put the syringe on the nipple and very slowly ( I mean slowly )...
