Reviving this to answer my own question, that is, I've pretty much narrowed it down to the optical drop detector. A test run was saying all the nozzles were out; obviously not correct since it's printing fine. Went to clean it and it seems physically damaged. Is there supposed to be a lens? Mine...

We called one company and were left waiting for months to get a quote, might be the one you mentioned in your post OP. We called another company and they brought out a couple of drums; one for waste ink, one for the bladders a couple weeks later.

We use Rapid Remover by Rapid Tac. You might want to note in the video he re-applies a bead of silicone at the end.

I'm thinking this is probably the cause. It is Max Metal Brand from Grimco, it happened on both the DP - Digitally Printable and the regular version of the metal. I will let my sales rep know. I'll post a pic of a spare piece I haven't ran yet later to visualize the issue.

SMK 3 was done back in June of 2018. I'm pretty sure it's the carriage rod making the noise. Mostly on longer runs, but it also seems to come and go.
