  1. Need Help Die-cutting labels and stickers

What are settings on the cutter to achieve these results. I’ve been trying to offer die cut as an upgraded decal option because I’ve not mastered it yet and takes a lot of tested wasted vinyl. I’d like to see what settings to start with as a good base point to achieve some of those results I saw...
  2. removing grommets

I once used a small flat head to split the tabs off. It took a little bit but I was able to salvage the banner. Luckily for me it was one grommet.
  3. TR2 Ink Conversion for Roland Printers

I'd love to learn how, that's for sure. I have access to our service mode. Roughly how many pouches of cleaning solution will it need to do the change over?
  4. TR2 Ink Conversion for Roland Printers

I'm looking for a little help on how to actually convert over to the TR2 inks. Our VG540 is now out of warranty and the owner has asked me to make the switch. I have done a lot of research on the machine with other things as it's part of my job to run it. So, without paying a tech to come out...
  5. Streaking / Banding?

    Anyone have any ideas?
  6. Streaking / Banding?

I'm touching back on this post I made a last year. To recap I am still using the correct media profile but was wondering if I could eliminate this issue. Or maybe just learn more about it and what is causing it. I see it in various colors. blue, black, purples, greens. Take a look at the two...
  7. Grey/ gradient issue

Just tried to print this with our adhesive back paper profile and it printed way better. just not as saturated.
  8. Grey/ gradient issue

Thank you for all the replies, Its winding down over here to where I can run a backlit test. The only issue is, we don't touch their files. Yet I have to reach out to them and explain the issue. They don't pay me to touch it (too cheap)
  9. Grey/ gradient issue

Hello everyone, I'm back again with another question. I'm trying to better understand what is causing this issue. Our client uses a 3rd party design company who supplies us with PDF's, Sometimes I'm able to take the pdf straight into VW and print it. Sometimes it's too large of a file and gives...
  10. Streaking / Banding?

Ok, I did some more googling and was able to locate the correct paper profile. OMG what a difference. Thank you everyone for suggestions.
  11. Versaworks Profiles - Full On Panic

I have no clue if it would work but by chance did you try to rename the .icc file type to the .rml? Again, I'm very new here and to large format printing so I don't know if it would actually work or not. I too use VW dual at my work.
  12. Streaking / Banding?

So I just did another print today on this same Trisolv adhesive back poster paper. The results had streaks again. I was using the DGA SGP profile that I downloaded a few weeks back. The streaking went away though when I ran the print using the Roland Generic paper profile. Though it's got tons...
  13. Streaking / Banding?

I just ran another test this morning and the Roland DGA SGP: Solvent Glossy Paper profile did the trick for the fisheye issue. I did a feed calibration this morning to set it but hadn't done another test but so far the results were much improved.
  14. Streaking / Banding?

Are these profiles I can look for on the profile media center? I see that roland sells a paper that matches that acronym. 1. I've not done that, Probably should give that a whirl. 2. The profile is the Generic paper profile. 3. we don't use our take-up reel but yea it's 96" I had done some...
  15. Streaking / Banding?

Sorry I forgot that part. We're using a Roland Truevis VG540 As far as I know the ink is their eco friendly line ha, depends on the type of friends... I had just done a manual cleaning on the machine, as for the profiles... I've not been able to locate a profile for the substrate that we were...
