  1. Need Help AVERY WRAP MATERIAL-- HELP!

I too may have a use for it here soon.
  2. Avery Cast Wrap Combo in Matte Lamination

Sounds like old laminate. As an installer, I'd rather use Avery all day, every day.
  3. What's your favorite way of doing rivets? Poll

RollePro - but in combination with the Geekwraps Big Easy. That tool is the very best $225 I've ever spent on any tool - ever. I can do a 57' trailer, by myself, in 6 hours using those two tools and a lift.
  4. I never wrapped before, but it's my truck ????

I gotta tell ya - these kinds of posts from people claiming to be "professionals" REALLY chap my hide. As a graphic install professional, you should know better than to assume something you've never done is "easy". My guess is you're gonna run through at least an entire roll of color change...
  5. Opinion 2 posts and panel sign install rates?

$300-400, depending on distance. Also depends on if I have to screw around with calling OUPS. That being said, I own a 1 man auger, so it's pretty straightforward.
  6. 3M wrap material

As an installer, I tend to despise all 3M films. I prefer the Avery product myself.
  7. Question Flex Face Pricing

For the faces themselves, I'd be around $4500. Now, your labor and installation charges are on you - I have no idea what your shop rate is, etc.
  8. Working Efficiently and respecting shop property

Take this for what it's worth - but it DID lead to many less headaches for me. Back when I had employees (most I ever had at once was 5), they were paid a salary - not hourly. I give exactly ZERO F**ks how many hours someone works. At the beginning of the week they had their job assignments on...
  9. National Companies Subbing out Installs... Your rules?

My rule of thumb is simple. "Your (National Sign Company) inability to get paid from your client in a timely manner is not my problem." I probably do 10-15 jobs/year for these types of companies (normally large scale vinyl installation) and I've never had an issue getting paid quickly. Largest...
  10. Advise and Opinions

#1 has potential, but needs reworked. Also, my initial thought with a name that sounds as playful as this, is that the logo needs to match that level of playfulness. #2 and #3 definitely do not do that.
  11. Can you believe this sign company?

See, that's the thing. I dont want their future business. I don't want their friends business either. With very few exceptions, these clients are much like local race car guys. The only future "business" you get from them is more local race car guys who want you to "sponsor" them. Fallen...
  12. Can you believe this sign company?

I honestly don't give a shit. I am not rude about it, but when they get indignant about the price I kindly explain exactly what goes into their IMO decals, from layout time to weeding and taping. If they still dont understand, I send them to another guy in town who will do this stuff all day...
  13. Can you believe this sign company?

I have been a 1 man shop for the past 5 years. I'll do IMO decals - for my shop minimum of $100.
  14. Panorama Wal & Wall

Why not print to a 3mil PVC, and use velcro to attach to the cubicle walls?
