  1. CNC Routing Clear Acrylic

Agreed. Running too slow. Based on the bit you are using I would be running 1 pass at 20,000 rpm at about 100ipm.
  2. EFI H1625 White Ink Trailing

Can you attach pictures? Have you cleaned your static bars lately? Manual purge of the white heads?
  3. Metal ADA signs - where to get? better alternatives?

    Looks like photopolymer process.
  4. Cleaning UV ink off flatbed

I agree with Gino. I'm not sure how the vacuum has been holding any media down with that much ink on it. If you can't replace it and must clean, I suggest spraying 99% ISO, letting it soak in, then use a plastic razor blade and wire brushes. Shop vac the *hit out of it and hope for the best...
  5. Need Help transperancies question

Flatten the transparencies in Illustrator. If necessary convert to TIFF. Usually works out any transparency issues that I have.
  6. Discussion Efi Flatbed printers

JR - We have been running the H1625 for a few years now. Overall, it's a workhorse.......however: a few things to note: The hybrid option on this particular machine is clunky. I would prefer a traditional flatbed and stick all my rolled media on our Rolands. We've blown quite a few coolant pumps...

I was reading one of you posts about installing storefront graphics for larger companies. You mentioned that they contact you for installs - they pay slow, but they usually always pay. How did you get this work? Are you a part of some preferred installer list? I was hoping to start doing work...
  8. TR2 Ink Conversion for Roland Printers

I spoke to my tech about this as well. He's done the conversion on 2 machines. On both occasions the firmware caused major issues. Roland does not pay for the tech's time, so the customer gets hit with the bill on top of the conversion kit + the TruVis ink that is dumped. My tech's advice: hold...
  9. TR2 Ink Conversion for Roland Printers

Has anyone converted to the new TR2 inks? From what I understand, Roland is trying to get everyone over to these new inks. Profiles will be lost with the new firmware update. Sounds like I will basically have to start over with my backend settings. Just wondering if anyone has converted. Any...
  10. Question Sand carved and Graphic blast ADA signs

I agree with Southpaw. Is there a specific reason the customer doesn't want applique letters and raster beads?
  11. H1625 FLATBED - WON'T PRINT - NO ERRORS

All parameters. Voltages/Waveforms. Page Settings. Board Check. System, and Offset. I take screen shots and save them in a shared folder for reference.
  12. H1625 FLATBED - WON'T PRINT - NO ERRORS

FIXED! The voltages and waveforms were all deactivated! I spoke to a tech and he's never seen anything like it. I was reminded to always take screen shots of your current parameters so that you can always go back and reset them if bugs like this occur. Thanks for the feedback and help!
  13. H1625 FLATBED - WON'T PRINT - NO ERRORS

Thanks for the feedback. I thought the same thing. I inspected the guard. It doesn't seem damaged. If it was still communicating a crash to the controller, I don't think it would allow the printer to function at all. I can send a file to print. Curing lamps are coming on and everything. Just no ink.
  14. H1625 FLATBED - WON'T PRINT - NO ERRORS

Yes. Several times. Actually just shut the entire system down for an hour. Powered back up, and having the same issue.
  15. H1625 FLATBED - WON'T PRINT - NO ERRORS

We had a small head crash on coroplast. Did not effect the heads, just tripped the media guard. Now it won't print at all. It won't even do a test print. It purges fine. All heads are pushing ink. No errors on any of the boards. Everything else functions properly except it won't actually print...
