  3. Problems with Oracal 3751RA

Happens to me with 3951 RA all the time, first 4 feet or so are trash, I complained to Fellers and they got me in touch with an Oracal Rep who just sent us the equivalent of a sample roll. Thinking about switching to something else.
  4. Crowned Roller vs Flat

We have a DryTac JM63 laminator which was purchased prior to me working here. I have recently been having a lot of problems laminating roll to roll, we get waves in the media and the only way to stop them is to raise the roller and reset the tension. The problem with this outside of being very...
  5. ink curling up when trapped in paint

We have been running into a problem with bright white prints curling up when we trap the image in paint. We have an Oce 360 xt and we use IJC256 as our white ink and Mathews paint. It has happened on polycarb, glass and photo polymer. Has anyone encountered this problem before? It isn't...
  6. JV300-160 - printer is great.. i hate rasterlink 6

We upgraded our jv33-160 to a 300-160 as well and I had a tough time navigating rasterlinks as well. We used flexi on the old one though, so I was learning a different program. The hardest thing I have found is trying to crop images as well as arrangement of nested jobs seems to be very...
  7. Roll to Roll Becoming Loose

It is straight when it goes on. I feed it out and pull the center of the media taught, release the lever and back the pegs on the feed reel, lower the lever, print a justification print. cut the corners of the media and tape it to the take up reel before printing.
  8. Roll to Roll Becoming Loose

The Specs on Mimaki's website say 88 lbs or less. I cant find the weight listed for 150x60 oracal 3951, but the point at which it starts skewing and becoming loose on the take-up reel wouldn't have that much weight at that point. Checked the rollers and they are clean. I don't understand why it...
  9. Roll to Roll Becoming Loose

I have been having some trouble running full rolls of 150'x60" Oracal 3951 Ra on our Mimaki JV300-160. The Take-Up Reel starts out great, and winds it up tight and consistent until about halfway through the roll. We re aligned the position of the reels and got the same results. Then we got a...

  15. Client Provided Files

We are having something weird going on over the past month with a lot of client provided files. They are always in PDF format and we use: Illustrator >Raster link 6 v4.3.2>Mimaki JV 300-160. This has occurred on multiple medias, we are getting grids of color printing out in the middle of the...
