Hmm okay, yeah IJ35 is what we were planning on testing but looks like I'll need to explain everything beforehand about it removing some of the drywall when removed. Thanks for your insight.
Okay, yeah I'm not too optimistic it's going to work as is. So stay away from matte/flat paint and use something like a semi gloss latex paint (that doesn't say Zero/No/Low VOC)?
Client of ours renovated a room and we're to cover the walls (drywall) in vinyl graphics. I gave them a list of guidelines that I was given that sorta tells clients the do's and don't's when it comes to painting walls and vinyl graphics...and unfortunately they ignored the "do's" and did the...
Just curious where yall like to look for extra help when you need it for certain jobs? Lately we have had trouble finding people to work with...specifically vinyl/frosted installers and awning fab/installers. We're in Philadelphia and while it's always been somewhat a challenge to find new...
I did and still waiting for their reply. I did try this job with them a couple years ago but they couldn't do it (along w/ a cpl other regulars I use on jobs). I'm kind of assuming they won't be able to this time so in the meantime I wanted to search for a different place or two.
Hi, I am having trouble finding someone that can make polished brass plaques w/ the two beveled edges similar to the attached photos. In the past I posted on here and got some great recommendations for companies that I use to this day so I figured I'd give it another shot for this job. Thank you...
Yeah, I know it's hard to tell without actually seeing it in person and seeing how deep they really go. I believe it's similar to the pic below. I don't think they want to go for actual signs onto it. I thought about that too. I'm going to go check it out tomorrow in person. I tried googling to...
Hey everyone, I have a big client of ours that wants to add tenant logos to fluted glass doors (see attached pic). I haven't went to check them out yet, but I'm pretty sure both sides are fluted. Anyone ever attempted to letter these with vinyl? Curious what everyone thinks or if you have any...
Thanks for the info everyone! Sorry I forgot to mention that this is going indoors in a lobby. I think I'm going with my original plan now that I've heard from everyone that it shouldn't bow. I'm going to use the 1/2" Ultraboard Aluminum w/ 6 standoffs. Thanks again!
Sorry, I forgot to mention that I plan on using the 1/2" thick Ultra Aluminum. Is the brushed Alupanel similar? I see it looks the same basically. Is it just a different company making their version of it? Are there any benefits in using it compared to the Ultra Aluminum?
EDIT: Oh, I...
Hi, I am needing to make a sign w/ a brushed metal face and read about Ultra Aluminum by Ultraboard on this forum. My only concern is the material bowing if used as a sign backer. The sign would be 24" tall by 66" long - rectangle in shape and installed an inch off the wall w/ 6 standoffs (4...
Hi, I'm looking to make a similar sign except without the PVC lettering (going to just use vinyl lettering instead). How does the 1/2" UltraBoard Aluminum do with bowing? Looking to do something like 2'x6' or 2'x8' on standoffs. I'm guessing it'd need standoffs in the center of the sign as...
Gotcha. Yeah I totally agree. PVC is definitely out of the equation for us on this job. Might have to consider gator board or just going with vinyl banner - what I originally didn't want to use. I'm just glad I decided to post this on here so I didn't end up making a mess of this job!
