Not needy when identifying fonts BUT when customer wants ONE OFF of a cool font that I do not have - I appreciate the help. Anyone name or tell me where I can get this font. [gonna make one for my wifey vehicle, too...lol]
  3. Japanese bikes have nothing on a D rake chopper

    snzzzzzzzzzzzzz-general-snnnnnzzzzzzz
  4. what do you hate about your software?

VinylMasterPro...nothing to hate. Hate yours. It's all in your mind. Ever listen to Zig Ziglar? W. Clement Stone. Robert Schuller? Dale Carnegie? et al. I have never used software that sucks, I will probably never understand why people complain...but for now...thanks for the positive...
  5. Japanese bikes have nothing on a D rake chopper

world changing to post this on a sign users website. thanks. I can go to bed knowing that today...I got to see this...I cannot thank-you enough. No really. Thanks.
  6. Wrap Removal Charge

    Time and material.
  7. Do You Kern?

I kern heads [headlines and subheads] expecially type as logo. Here are some area code adjustments. The first is unaltered and BAD! Never display area code unaltered on sign or vehicle IMHO. I didn't spend time kerning this quick example but a phone number should be kerned! [A lame...
  8. Lowe’s Toolbox for Education

Gotta shove 'em out of the nest sometime.
  9. Lowe’s Toolbox for Education

vectored from scratch - downloaded Lowes® logo in vector free from web. Approximately 20 minutes. Not perfect. Doesn't have to be. Less time than asking for help. I searched for TOOLBOX FOR EDUCATION LOWES images and saved their bitmap logo. Locked image in Corel and went to town...
  10. Start Up?

Amen. Sick and tired of untrained and unskilled artistically bereft dorks owning sign shops just because the have enough capital or credit to buy a PC, software and a cutter or printer.
  11. Disney dirt bags

Once art is created by THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT it cannot be copyrighted by a private individual. It is owned by ALL taxpayers. [old statutes]. Exceptions seem to be the recent AIR FORCE stylized star and wings and other military branch logos and campaign art and materials...
  12. Our new billboard.

If this were a college project the prof. might ask: Why did you use the same typeface for all the text, headlines and subheads? The left center graphic is all about action, 3-D and photorealism. Why are the rest of the text and logos as graphics FLAT and devoid of Photoshop effects? Is...
  13. Font ID

Bash me...IMHO these font ID issues usually arise when the font is a crap bastardized font originating from some untrained hack. Quality designers use quality fonts with names that are well recognized from quality font collections. Crap fonts are bastardized from quality professional type...
  14. Choosing the best equipment set up?

Lets say it is a 45.3" banner - finished size to fit a set space in a church. 54" material is not wasted because the customer PAID FOR the 54" width because they determined the finish size...not me. The billing price fits the job. That is not waste.
  15. what do you use to vectorize?

Hand drawn? WHAAAAAT? Just kidding. IMHO to attain top quality outputs from images drawn by human hand, there will exist a computer operator who vectors it in Illustrator® from a scanned image. Streamline! Nostagia! It worked when Corel 8 CorelTrace DID NOT! Hand drawn on acetate with...
