  2. agfa anapurna m2 ink flow problem

I have no previous experience with anapurna, I am assuming it is equipped with a Konica Minolta head. Adjust your meniscus vacuum. This pressure is negative in the sense that it holds the ink from dripping out of your printhead nozzles. I would assume it does have a secondary tank on top of the...
  3. Yet, another freaking problem

Hello Nick, have you tried to pass thru flush thru the printhead? It would give you an indication if heads are clogged or head electronics have gone bad. If you have tried to connect yellow head to cyan or magenta channel and it still exhibits the same registration, in my opinion the head is shot.
  4. changing UV inks

Well, if the customer already have enough experience in flushing the ink system, I would say yes and go ahead. 49 and 60 are not compatible at all, so the initial process flow would be to flush the 49 with 49 series flush, also flush the head with it. Then make sure the ink system was emptied...
  5. Get Ink Out Of Air lines: CET Color Flatbed Printer

Ink would get into the air lines if there is excessive negative pressure on the system. Check your system, the ink overflow tank should be able to hold the ink. Do you happen to turn your machine off at night or on the weekends? If the machine is turned off, the battery powers on the negative...
  6. CET Flatbed Neg. Pressure issues

First is close all your ink supply valves, remove the negative pressure regulator and blow air to clean it. If the negative pressure regulator is dusty, moisture accumulates over time and restricts air flow thru the throttle causing the negative pressure to increase. If after cleaning the...
  7. Vertical Banding on FLORA

Can I butt in? @Kaiser, What year was your flatbed manufactured? As I deduce it is a 2512, so basically it is flatbed with 2.5x1.2 m bed or a 4x8. Since you have mentioned a CA4, this is a Toshiba head machine. Question: 1. If you move the printing margin on the printer driver, does the...
  8. General Maintenance Question

Three of the four you mentioned and others, and going back to head voltages, nowadays, you don't adjust head voltages "manually" thru a trimmer. Most of the time, they can be adjusted using the software driver.
  9. General Maintenance Question

Basing on my experience; 1. You dial in your head voltages during the install and the printer would keep it that way until the next firmware or software upgrade. 2. You change head voltages when you replace a head. The printhead must be tuned in to the characteristics of the ink. If the head...
  10. Printing reds on HP FB500

The printers per se doesn't have to do with how much you can get with colors. The printers are just jetting the inks. It all depends on the RIP settings and the ink set. No matter how good electronically and mechanically is the printer if the color gamut of the ink set is too small, then...
  11. iMac or Mac Pro?

I am an all mac user and I would recommend an iMac 27" for general sign making. The power is more than enough for the job.
  12. Flora 2512

i suggest that you source your ink from your equipment dealer.
  13. CET vs. Oce

Can you still recall the tech who installed the printer?
  14. CET vs. Oce

  15. advice for transporting a daytona/rastek style printer

You're good. Don't forget to empty out the waster ink tank. Its a vacuum cleaner inside the or below the printing platform.
