I have been reading your original post about getting started. I am wanting to get started for the same reasons you did. What machine & software did you start out with? Thanks for your time!

Thank you for your post, I just seen it now. I'll look into that cutter. I'm thinking I might get a better computer because this one seems to be slow whenever I run photoshop. I was wondering what you thought of vista, (that's what I have now) or if I should downgrade to xp?

well so far I havent needed vista but I do. my custom computer I built has room for 8 gigs of memory. witch I have already bought. its two 2 gig stick paired to make 4 gigs, I bought 2 pairs to make 8gigs, the bad thing was XP can only handle 3.5 gigs. I need vista to be able to run all 8 gigs. but on the other had. the software that runs my cutter, can not run with vista . I have to buy new software. so if you buy from signwarehouse I think they well ask you if you want vista or xp. I think the vista version will on XP as well. but I know XP will not work on vista. so far the all the people (I know) that are using it dont really have a problem with it. I would say its really up to you Later Nick

just take it slowly. and you'll get it. I just moved back into my old town and no one knows what I do now. but. after this past week I think they do now LOL. I talked alot and the got my business cards then. went walking and talking. ( but I do have 10 years of know how). then to day well Friday I called my old high school band up that I had been hinning out with the past couple of weeks. so they get use to me. helped that the new band director and I went to college together LOL. and I called them and gave a deal if they sell some school letter stickers ( like the Letterman's you get on a jacket) I split it 60/40 with them. they jumped on it like crazy. I only sold 12 items out of 60 but I built a customer band and help I group I really care about. and my first job sense I finally got my garage remodel was 1400 bucks and I havent stop in 3 weeks. but you really need to know your software and have a really good computer for sure. right now for 2695 you can get a 30" Q75 cutter from sign warehouse.com. with 5 rolls of vinyl 4 rolls of banners. pre-mask. gramet press ( a $250 item I need really badly LOL) garments and software to run the cutter.
