  1. Need a floor graphic for indoors that will hold up to automated robotic forklift traffic?!

Yah, sorry about that. I assumed signs101 would email me or something if people responded. They didn't. I happened to think of this and log in two weeks later and there were a million responses. I'm here.
  2. Need a floor graphic for indoors that will hold up to automated robotic forklift traffic?!

That's interesting. Thank you for the idea.
  3. Need a floor graphic for indoors that will hold up to automated robotic forklift traffic?!

These are giant red blocks with "DO NOT STAND" written on them in white. 60"x36" size. It's a legal/insurance requirement. They literally have to be where the robot-path is in order to comply with the requirement.
  4. Need a floor graphic for indoors that will hold up to automated robotic forklift traffic?!

I'm stumped. I laminated floor graphics with 3M 3645 knowing full well there would be forklift traffic but not being aware that these are actually robotic forklifts on a regular path. Within two days the robots had torn holes in the laminate. I don't necessarily need a non-skid or a laminated...
  5. Sign "Maintenance Plans"

What Maintenance Looks Like Sorry for the delayed response here guys. For whatever reason 101 didn't send me any emails saying "hey you have awaiting messages." About 90% of the signs we put out are vinyl prints or lettering on painted wood. What does maintenance look like? Letters falling...
  6. Roland VS-540 Constant Cutting Problems

Hi guys. I bought in a new VS-540 about 18 months ago now. When I was shopping this thing one of the major concerns I had was around the cutter. Historically we always printed on our (ooooold) Mimaki 54" with OPOS crop marks, straight out of Flexi Production Manager, then cut on our 54"...
  7. Sign "Maintenance Plans"

Does anyone out there currently offer a sign maintenance plan? In a recent consumer survey I learned that several of our current or prospective clients would prefer a more hands-off subscription-style service where I send someone around every once in a while to check their sign for wear and...

Thank You! Thanks everyone for the feedback.
  9. CNC Routers: If you had to pick ...

Cnc Good question. At this point, it's very limited. I find the process of working with an outside contractor cumbersome, and often what I ask for isn't what I end up getting back. For that reason I do shy away from dimensional work at times. I'd say on average 1-2 CNC signs a month.
  10. CNC Routers: If you had to pick ...

I'm in the research phase of purchasing a new CNC Router for a small signshop. We currently do offer carved/dimensional signage, but to-date what we can do has been very limited due to the fact that we farm our CNC work out to another local shop with a beautiful, but ancient, Gerber Saber 4x10...
  11. Discovered an antique Electro Pounce Machine in our supply closet

Sad to Sell, but... I do appreciate the sentiment of keeping this. It hurts a little selling ANY cool old machine, let alone one that's been in this business as long as I've been alive. That said, we're in a state of flux here. I'm trying to bring in new equipment (CNC Router) and have NO...

Wake Up Tool lol ... give a shot selling on ebay for a few hundred. A nice idea though ...
  13. Discovered an antique Electro Pounce Machine in our supply closet

Thanks guys. I'll give it a shot.
  14. Discovered an antique Electro Pounce Machine in our supply closet

Hi guys. I'm new to the forum. Been the (3rd) owner of a sign and design shop in Northern Vermont for three years now. We've been working tirelessly this winter to try and clean out and organize this place. A lot of clutter develops after 33 years in business. In the midst of all this I...
