  1. Caldera Increase Space Between Barcodes

Does anyone know how to create a larger margin/padding between jobs with multiple copies? Currently it leaves about 1.5" between the barcodes. I have not been able to find a setting that will adjust this.
  2. Recommendations for Roll Up Banner Stands

Thanks for the info, do you mind me asking how much you mark them up? I was thinking 50%
  3. Recommendations for Roll Up Banner Stands

Hi we just recently added an espon s40600 to our shop. Previously the majority of our work is screen printed apparel. We have our fist order for retractable banner stands (33.5 x 96) and need some recommendations for retractable / roll up banner stands. We have an account with Grimco and...
  4. Scratch resistant laminate

Thanks for the replies, obviously we could eliminate the back cut, but that is one of the beauties of the Gerber Plotter. You plot them face up first for the contour cut then upside down with a slightly offset path with a 60 degree blade to cut through the backer but not the vinyl, it also cuts...
  5. Scratch resistant laminate

I need suggestions for a premium cast laminate. I have been trying 3m 8519 but when run through the Gerber plotter for back cuts the laminate side is face down and it is getting lots of hairline scratches. Need a product that will pay well with Gerber 220 vinyl.
  6. New Product Mimaki or Epson

I have been trying to decide between the two as well. I had samples printed on both, on the first batch, Epson blew the mimaki away holding fine detail on small decals. Color was spot on to my files in illustrator. The mimaki samples looked bad, grainy and colors were off but this was...
  7. Best Light Temperature for Accurate Color

We are setting up a new work area and need to replace the old overhead fluorescent lighting. Any thoughts on the best temperature LED for color proofing accuracy?
  8. Laminator recommendation for gerber edge

The weeder is pretty awesome, I wonder if it works as well with heat transfer vinyl which we cut a lot of.
  9. Laminator recommendation for gerber edge

Thanks for the replies. We bought a 60” roll of 8509 from Grimco and they cut it down to 12” rolls. Which doesn’t leave much margin of error on 10-11” prints. Next time will probably get a 54” roll cut down ton 13.5” sections. I have seen that model from RS on eBay, but I believe that is a hot...
  10. Laminator recommendation for gerber edge

They do still make abrasion guard, but I want to laminate to increase thickness as the vinyl is a little to thin on its own. Much easier for customers to apply the decals.
  11. Laminator recommendation for gerber edge

Looking for a good laminator to pair with gerber edge 2. Currently we are using a basic hand crank model with no media holders. It is hard to keep a print straight over a run longer than 4 ft. Since there is limited margin for error to keep the graphics covered and not go over sprocket holes.
  12. Thicker decal material for edge 2

Thanks for the info, I have used the avery 750 as well, it is about the same thickness as the quantum. I have been laminating with 3M 8509 that I had cut down, just trying to avoid the extra work & cost of lamination. My envision plotter can accurately cut 15' of edge graphics, but I have not...
  13. Thicker decal material for edge 2

we recently started using a Gerber Edge 2 for custom printed decals. Window / bumper stickers etc. I like the quantum vinyl, but at 3 mil it feels cheaper to customers used to solvent / laminated prints which are 6 mil on average and easier for them to apply. Trying to avoid the extra labor...
