  1. Roland Print Head Issues -Please Help

I've seen this when a transistor blows on the head board. And I've seen it caused by not having the print head cable seated correctly or by a bad head. I think you may have a bad head that is taking out that transistor on the head board. I would replace the head and head board at the same time...
  2. Linear Bearing Problem Xc-540

That linear bearing... Has anyone found the bearing for sale without the rail?
  3. extended waranty?

Since this is a warranty issue I would spend my time pressing Roland to resolve this issue, not troubleshooting it yourself.
  4. SP300V DOWN! What in the heck is this? How can I fix it?

It senses the end pinch rollers to tell the machine how wide the media you have loaded is. You need to re-attach it if its not broken or replace it if it is broken. If its not in the correct spot or not working you wont be able to set up any media.
  5. sp 540..cartridges not conected

CS - That link takes me to a dealer login. Is this the static suppression you are talking about? Or is it something else?
  6. Head alignment on SP-540v?

Are you having print quality issues? I have seen machines with worst looking test prints run jobs fine. But I agree with CS that is deflected nozzles and has nothing to do with head adjustments.
  7. Heating element for Mug Xpress 300

I have searched online and have found nothing but old posts from years ago about this mug press. Does anyone know where I could find a heating element for a Mug Xpress 300?
  8. How do I remove the clear pinch roller wheel

There is a washer on each side of the pinch roller. When you slide the shaft out it gets caught in the groove on the shaft for the E-clip. Try pushing the washer up slightly while pulling the shaft out.
  9. colored streaks/stripes in grey design - 540v

In my experience silvers and greys are the hardest colors for the Rolands. We always print them on our newest machines because if the heads aren't printing flawlessly it looks like crap. I bet that if you had brand new heads it would print good. Not saying your heads are bad, just less than perfect.
  10. roland sp 540 mainboard

Make sure none of your buttons are stuck in. I had that happen to me on one of our xc-540s and one of the push buttons was stuck in on the front panel. It's a long shot but you never know.
  11. Linear Bearing Problem Xc-540

Are you saying you are going to put the ball bearings inside the linear bearing? I have never done that. I have replaced the whole linear bearing but not on a Roland.
  12. Linear Bearing Problem Xc-540

Anytime you remove that type of linear bearing from the rail the ball bearings are going to fall out even on a brand new one that is why they usually ship it to you on a plastic rail and you have to transfer it directly on to the rail. You can find those bearings online but you need to know the...
  13. Outside Pinch Roller

If its the same as a xc-540 there will be a little e-clip on the side of the shaft that runs through the roller. Use a small screw driver to remove it but be careful because it will pop off of there at light speed and you'll never find it again unless you have something there to stop it. Then...
  14. VW - Printer Controls

I would say that as far as feed calibration is concerned, you should always go off your printer and not the profile. When we run the exact same media on a brand new machine and a older machine the number can vary greatly depending on how worn the grit rollers are.
  15. Pinch roller track marks in print

Seems like static to me also. Try wiping the material, bed of the machine, and pinch rollers down with dryer sheets right before you run. Also try and control the humidity in your print room if possible. If all that fails position the pinch rollers so that they are not over text or just use the...
