  1. OLD FLEXI, ILLUSTRATOR, PHOTOSHOP. COREL

Have to run out on a couple errands. Will check back in a couple hours. Thanks for everything so far. Perhaps things aren't as hopeless as I thought. : )
  2. OLD FLEXI, ILLUSTRATOR, PHOTOSHOP. COREL

Thank you for the feedback VanderJ and WWD. As you probably have guessed, the technical side is not my forte. What would you suggest for a computer, or place to buy a prebuilt?
  3. OLD FLEXI, ILLUSTRATOR, PHOTOSHOP. COREL

I do not have Windows 10 (yet). I do however have a windows 7 computer that some of my software won't run on. I just happen to run into an article about windows10 "compatibility" mode, and thought that may be the time to at least upgrade computer to start. Everything i have now runs on xp.
  4. OLD FLEXI, ILLUSTRATOR, PHOTOSHOP. COREL

I've been pushing my luck running windows xp but all my software is too old to run on windows 7. Short answer would be to upgrade, but cost to upgrade all my software and computer all at once is going to be impossible. Where should I start? Has anyone had any luck with Windows 10 and...

  6. WHO NEEDS TO PONY UP DAMAGE COST ???

Its the internet, you can say whatever makes you feel important Eric. By the way, Im actually B.Gates. My company is bigger than yours.
  7. WHO NEEDS TO PONY UP DAMAGE COST ???

This was not the worst blooper I've done, and probably won't be the last. I didn't come here looking for validation, nor candy coated criticism. When I screw up, let me have it. So, I am putting this thread to rest, feeling good for most all the feedback. As for your post Emd2dick. Your...
  8. WHO NEEDS TO PONY UP DAMAGE COST ???

I'll ask them the next chance I get. Tex, in hindsight, if i were faced with the job of going on a road trip to install, I would probably screw some boards to the pallet and form a "make shift" crate. I'm guessing you have never sorted thru 50-75 signs out on the road? Typically not all...
  9. WHO NEEDS TO PONY UP DAMAGE COST ???

Gino, you sound very educated in this field. I wish I had consulted you first. Yes, I thought it "may" be a problem, so I asked the question. (Keep in mind, I don't do screen printing) This manufacturer is a national company of traffic signs. They have multiple locations across the U.S. of...
  10. WHO NEEDS TO PONY UP DAMAGE COST ???

Sorry for your confusion. Your assuming the sheets are an inconvenience to ME. When I transport a pallet of signs (slip sheets or not) I will have them banded. Whether they have slip sheets or not, they aren't going anywhere. We recently upgraded from our manual bander to a battery operated...
  11. WHO NEEDS TO PONY UP DAMAGE COST ???

I could be wrong, and if that is the case I apologize. Being Gino's post had nothing directly to do with slip sheets, or this thread directly, I could only assume he was offering up a fabricated story of a ridiculous way to transport a large number of signs (sound familiar?) and how they...
  12. WHO NEEDS TO PONY UP DAMAGE COST ???

Gino's post above suggested a moron advised me. I was merely saying that "moron" was the shop manager at this traffic shop. To be fair, this fabricator has most always done a good job and has treated me fair. . We have had minor snafu's along the way, but nothing major.
  13. WHO NEEDS TO PONY UP DAMAGE COST ???

The end user (my customer) requested we save money and not slip sheet them. They said they were just a pain in the butt to them anyways. They actually offered to pay me if I could "fix" them. While it doesn't get any better than having a customer like that, I really felt that I needed to go to...
  14. WHO NEEDS TO PONY UP DAMAGE COST ???

Gino, I don't know if you think this is a joke or what? These are "construction" type signs. They are thrown into the back of a truck and the crew heads down the road. They are usually scratched up when they throw them into the back of their truck when they pick them up. Most of these signs...
  15. WHO NEEDS TO PONY UP DAMAGE COST ???

I do have that information in an email. So I do have their reply in writing from the "MORON" on the other end. That moron is the shop manager of a "Traffic Only" shop. The HIP vinyls are what they deal with every day. The screen inks are what they deal with every day. I DO NOT deal with...
