7 print heads on my VG 540 since December. So fun.

The VGs actually have lights built into the print area. It's not the lights of the shop, surroundings. Its the printer lights that are the problem, especially with the chrome media guides.

This is an issue with VG's if you have the media guides in place, are using gloss laminate, or there is too much glare from lighting. They fixed this by putting a little piece of diffuser type material on the crop mark reader in latter models. I have it but still can't cut with the media guides...

The firmware update also fixed a lot of my cutting issues. I did not know about the crop filter. So sick of the cannot find cropmark error, so that is a must do. I understand that it is a new ink type and was expecting some issues, but reworking almost every file has been a lengthy, frustrating...

Printing a bunch of helmet decals using a 12 mil Laminate. The cut is off in the feed direction Most likely because of the thickness of the lam. I've tried multiple settings both in the print/cut adjustment as well as the calibration menu for cutting with little to no change. What am I missing...

Was asked to quote some printed sponsorship ads for the boards of the local arena. Anyone ever done them? What media recommendations? I usually use 3651ra for just about everything. Will it work here? Thanks and feel free to move if this is in the wrong place.

Might be on to something with the pinch rollers now that I think about it, but I'm also starting to think the dampers are shot.

I'm getting banding on only half the print. Print on the left side of the media is perfect but as you get close to the docking station for the print head, banding is horrible. I'm sure i could do unidirectional, but time is a issue.... Tried flipping the decoder strip, but it didn't help...
