  1. Roland SP540V Printing Issue

Check you lines under the capping stations. I had some problems with my VP540. I replaced caps and lines and fixed that problem. I used a turkey baster to pull the ink.
  2. Metro Restyling

Two orders. No problems. I had two customers that wanted cut vinyl from wrap material. Metro had it cut and to me within a couple of days. The free shipping is kind of a tease on small orders. If a customer looks at their site they might think you're charging too much thinking you're...
  3. Material for racing ATV

Has anybody had any success cutting the General Formulations 235 MOTOMARK GRIP 4 MIL with the GF 238 MOTOMARK™ "ARMOR" UV LAMINATE. I use a Roland VersaCamm and even going around it several times it seldom cuts clear through. Does it cut better on a standard roll cutter/plotter - I've got a...
  4. Emergency question!

I have the Roland VP540 and ran out of ink... The suggestion to shake the cartridge worked for me. Now the wait for the new cartridges. I always keep red on hand and thought I had an extra of all of them. Oh well, nothing here to distract me :-)
  5. Fonts suddenly not showing up on CoreldrawX7

I found this box unchecked after the update. This got the fonts back in the short term but I've lost them again several times. A restart usually fixes it - but I've had to restart a couple of times on my last loss. g
  6. Need Help Copam - cutter or boat anchor

Does anyone know how to check if a serial/usb cable is working? A "friend" has acquired a used but seemingly operational Copam CP-2500. The cutter is equipped with a USB/Serial cable - the cutter has serial and parallel connections. I've attempted to install a number of drivers for the...
  7. Question Shirt Vinyl

Heat Transfer Vinyl & Materials | Heat Transfer Warehouse They are in Vegas and I'm in the St. George Utah area. I get mine overnight. I'm using Siser easyweed and the easyprint 1702 for print transfers. I've used a LOT of different materials and have had good service from Stahls, but for me...
  8. Identifying Material By Label

I have a lot of different roll materials. Since I print, most of it is white. Does anyone know of a product I can stick in the top of the 3" roll to put the material ID on? Thanks!
  9. Versaworks won't print after windows 10 install

VersaWorks stopped So last night I printed fine. Today, VersaWorks won't open. I get the splash screen and the "new" blue screen - the program has to close. I updated to windows 10 some time ago and had no problems - until this morning. I'm loading it on a different computer to see if that...
  10. Durable substrate

Cutting ACM I used a tool similar to a rotozip (or whatever they are called) to cut the PVC. Would that work on ACM? I have NO experience cutting ACM. With the PVC I drilled a hole in the center and used an attachment to keep the radius stable. I'm not that great at freehand but couldn't...
  11. need some help with old computer

Installation CD If you put the windows installation CD in the drive and have it boot from the CD, you should be able to re-install without losing everything. Maybe. If you're really a little bit crazy and have the time, there is a way to check the power supply to see if that's the problem. A...
  12. looking at switching from Adobe...has anyone else?

CorelDraw I use Corel. I wasn't bright enough to pickup on how to use Illustrator but have kept up with the Corel versions (from when they first started numbering them). I haven't had trouble opening Illustrator files in X7, but I print and using a file stepped through Corel always makes the...
  13. Durable substrate

I am making new signs for tennis court nets. They are attached to the nets near the sides. I have used 3MM WHITE EPS UNMASKED EXPANDED PVC with a laminated vinyl sticker (2' x 2' round). The problem is that the players evidently think it's fun to tag the signs while playing and they break...
