  1. Difficulty cutting Ultraboard & PVC on Steeltrak Keencut

We have the 98" Keencut and the blade is great for foamcore, coro, any soft substrate but sucks for 3/16" Ultraboard and 3mm PVC. The blades that came with were medium duty, so we thought let's get the heavy duty and that should solved it. Nope, rips at the edge, does not cut it clean at all...
  2. Can't find 1" PVC in Black 5'x10' sheets

I haven't heard of that vendor. We are in the midwest, can you send me the link to that site? Thanks
  3. Can't find 1" PVC in Black 5'x10' sheets

Ok, what kind of paint would you recommend for painting the pvc? And do you know where to find white 4'x10' or 5'x10' 1" pvc?
  4. Can't find 1" PVC in Black 5'x10' sheets

Have talked to Grimco, Wensco, Regal Plastics and Midland Plastics, I need 1"(25mm) 5'x10' sheet of black PVC, no one has it in stock, Midland could get it but I have to order 5 sheets minimum at $300 a piece and I only need 1 sheet. Have been considering just going with 1.5" sign foam and paint...
  5. STS inks

We have used their inks on 2 different flatbeds, an EFI and our Mimaki, legit for sure.
  6. Window perf on interior windows-which product works for this?

Yes, I told them that as well but they refuse to believe the perf won't work because it worked on all their exterior windows. Really a pain when the customer thinks they know better.
  7. Window perf on interior windows-which product works for this?

We have been installing window perf on exterior windows for over 20 years and never had an issue with visibility. One of our clients requested some perf on their interior office windows and we obliged. Obviously you can see in the pic this doesn't work with the interior light source they have...
  8. Extend lease or buy new building?

Here are a couple photos of it. There are 5 total overhead doors 14' tall which is perfect for the trucks and buses we work on. There is also lots of parking lot and the rear of the building has about 1/2 acre of lot that's fenced in with barbed wire fence. Could have people store their...
  9. Extend lease or buy new building?

I've been leasing a shop space for my business for the past 11 1/2 years. The current space we've been in over 7 years and have around 5500 square feet. We are outgrowing it as far as the production space/offices and have been looking to buy for the last year or so. With our size requirements...
  10. Spraying liquid laminate

Back in the day I used clear shield before I had a laminator. It works well and I have signs I installed over 10 years ago that I drive by daily and the color still looks great. The rolling definitely isn't as good. You could try the HVLP gun and thin it out and that should work.
  11. Discussion Slowing down or staying busy?

Busy, busy, busy and no slow down in site. Our installers are jammed with work all day everyday and we have our contractors doing nights and weekend installs every weekend making the big bucks. Now up North here the cold temps have arrived and we can't do any of the vinyl work outside so that...
  12. About to buy the HP 700w

Went to the Print United show last week and finally got to see these new HP Latex machines running and get the details on them. They only had the 800w(white ink) but I'm going with the 700w as I don't need the bigger ink capacity. From what I have seen on this forum, it's a mixed bag on these...
  13. Source for these style of exit signs?

Sure, but it needs to be blast proof. Is this something you can make easily? I pass on stuff not worth my time. If you can make them, I'll certainly purchase them from you.
  14. Source for these style of exit signs?

Yeah, they are pricey, not even worth me ordering and marking it up for my customer. I'll just send them straight to the source.
