  1. HP L26500 Color Issues

I've found that changes in the temp/humidity will actually throw the colours off a LOT, even from one end to another of a long print. Try to maintain the environment as constant as possible would be my main suggestion.
  2. Problem with the sensor OMAS cleaning L26500

This is true that there are a number of reasons for a "dirty OMAS" sensor message. I've found on my machine that even after cleaning, sometimes it is necessary to actually restart the machine to "force" it to recheck the sensor I guess. If you're using media with an opaque backer, and you've...
  3. Initializing Please Wait

yeah my L26500 will do this once in a while, I've ended up switching it off at the switch at the back, waiting 30 seconds and turning it back on. seems to clear the problem, and it will ussually initialize correctly after that.
  4. HP L26500 Calibrating Error

In your printer web access thing, go to the "setup" tab and click on "firmware update" in the column on the left. You get a few paragraphs of text, and in the first one (bolded) you will get your current firmware version. The most recent one is 8.0.0.1 I believe, and if you are in a previous...
  5. Ink lines clogged somewhere, need advice.

Possibly the ink clog is in the print head. Which means that even though the head is not used heavily, it may still be time to replace it. Before you do so, I would try to soak it in a plate of iso alcohol. I've done this in the past with some success back when I ran a 5000 and a 5500... Also...
  6. Designjet 9000

This is a fascinating problem... I hope it gets resolved because I will be very keen to hear what the cause of it is. Printhead voltage sounds like a possibility, I would also check ink lines, connections and dampers in case there is a slow leak somewhere. I'm thinking it "buffers" during the...
  7. Scratching on prints for L26500

Almost for sure a head strike due to buckling from too much heat or not enough vacuum. Also, I would check to see if by chance there isn't any hanging from the carriage and scratching; unlikely, but possible.
  8. HP Latex Panel Color Shift

I see this occasionally, on larger, multi panel jobs. I've resolved (or at least minimized this) by enabling the print stripe and having the job flip the tiles 180 every other tile. So the tiles are printed top/bottom//bottom/top//top/bottom etc... Also, if possible (such as multiple copies of...
  9. Can a Flatbed print on this

I've done a similar job at a past shop, also on the brushed dibond. When you are setting up your color you will probably want to set it up as a rich red in the file (0/100/95/5) and it should print as burgundy because the metal should darken it up. And TEST TEST TEST. You may need to do 2 passes...
  10. Banner printing L25500

My settings are 10pass, 115c/55c, and vacuum is at 20. Yet to have a single headstrike on banner material. throw a wooden dowel (or the pipe thing that came with your printer) where the banner curls up into the take up roll to maintain a little tension.
  11. Flatbed printer question

+1 for going to sign show. At a previous shop I worked at, we ran just about everything under the sun through out OCE 250GT, they are pricey but the quality is incredible. Printed on wood (and veneer), looked great! Might be able to find a used one now since they are a few years old...
  12. L26500 & Error code 79:04

I'm still back on SP-SP_6.0.0.3 If it the firmware update is causing issues I'm definately not upgrading it now! You didn't RIP the job, upgrade your firmware then try to print it by any chance? That could use a crash as well...
  13. L26500 & Error code 79:04

Found this online and I've had that happen to me once or twice. Check your physical connections (loose cables, etc) and try re-RIPing the job as well. Hopefully it's nothing worse than that for you. Good luck!
  14. Anyone use SAM INK L25500 Inks??

We use the SAM-ink in our 9000s with no problems, it's been well over 2 years now. Never tried it on our L26. Not sure it's worth the risk switching, as KevSign points out.
  15. hp 8000s problems

Had a nearly identical issue on my 9000s. Turned out to be a leaky o ring at the damper. My tech said it was a 50/50 chance it was either the o rings or the damper itself. Might make sense to replace both since you're going to have it apart. Not a super complicated procedure on the 9000s...
