  1. Question Pull up banner with no warping? Latex 365

Right now we run a 9mil grey back satin material.. its from a few different suppliers and white labeled, but pretty sure its all from que media. (SUBRG). We have also tried one or two others, but to get a true flat no warp finish, we have to run it at 20 pass, and even then I think we are at...
  2. Flexi to summa camera error

Thanks snydo, the one with camera control built into the cutter control program is for the newer s2 cutter I believe. The other one they are two seperate programs.
  3. Flexi to summa camera error

Correct, working with opos-cam. I wasnt aware of that!.. It seems to send it, and the summa will ask to find the start point.. after that is when it fails... as well flexi seems to tie up the cutter because winplot will need it to be closed to take over... Im not sure how I would get the file...
  4. Flexi to summa camera error

Trying to get a print and cut workflow working with a summa s160T and flexi subscription.. winplot will optically register the print just fine, but for some reason flexi will ask me to find the first mark, when I press ok on the first mark it then errors on me with a camera control...
  5. Flatbed Ink peeling like vinyl??

Very interesting. Thank you all for the responses. I will have to keep an eye on this and ensure we communicate it properly with clients.
  6. Flatbed Ink peeling like vinyl??

Anyone ever seen anything like this? We've never seen it or had any other reports of it from customers.. Printed on an HP Scitex FB500 Machine was sitting for a couple months when we aquired it, and this would have been one of the earliest prints we had done on it. OEM Inks, normal coroplast...
  7. Flexi on hp latex vs onyx

We were on 11. We just put in a new machine and installed 12 for testing today actually. Hoping to see good things.
  8. Flexi on hp latex vs onyx

We have a print and sign shop that runs commercial print as well as an hp 260, and an hp fb500 as well as a summacut plotter. Lots of people talking about profiling etc.. that seems to be common knowledge that onyx is the better of the two.. I actually find that somewhat arguable.. but heres...
  9. Grommets vs Eyelets

Absolutely good point. And yes your description is correct. I have seen a couple videos of people actually using them on reinforced edge banners (banner tape fold over) so I was curious if anyone had used them. I do expect you are correct that it is very likely it would reduce the strength...
  10. Grommets vs Eyelets

Well generally by most peoples definition an eyelet is a little different, there is no washer on the back, the top side goes through, and spreads/locks on the back by itself... one piece, one load.. quicker and easier.. grommets work great, just considering the option since we need an eyelet...
  11. Grommets vs Eyelets

There are multiple interpretations out there.. so I am referring to grommets as two piece, grommet and washer. And eyelets being one piece. We currently, and have always finished banners with metal grommets (two piece).. I have a shop need to get a machine to do eyelets (one piece) and was...
  12. Onxy Rip Error With Hot Folders

Hey Everyone, having a little issue trying to take advantage of the Onyx rip hot folders. We've never really made use of them, but looking to send files in directly from an ftp. Right now when I do the ftp says the file transferred into the rip computer successfully, the file does show up in...
  13. RIP software opinions

I have never looked at colorgate before.. I also see it has a proofing version.. what kind of price point is colorgate at? I hate hate hate when software has videos but shows nothing of the actual software in action... but I am interested in seeing what its all about.
  14. RIP software opinions

I think onyx 12 is native 64 bit so should run faster.. our machine isn't slow, but its not a beast.. either way I can tell from experience the one thing that flexi was great at was the initial file setup... onyx rips once you put a file in... then any manipulations you want to do have to...
  15. RIP software opinions

Haha, I am on the opposite side of the coin... I have a latex.. and Onyx. I find onyx really slow. I agree Flexi was buggy last time I tried it.. but have been considering trying it again. I do remember flexi and found the color profile building actually was better I thought... Onyx does...
