  1. second surface print acrylic installation

That's what I was afraid of, as I mentioned I hadn't looked into any of that yet. I see the second ones are a little better but you'd have to put like 4 of them on there...Oh well Sorry those didn't help
  2. second surface print acrylic installation

I don't know how well it would work on 1/2" acrylic, as I have not read any of the specs on these yet. We did an install job once where these were used on Sintra, and I have been looking for them since. When I saw your post I figured outwater may have something you could use and finally found...
  3. Question servicing standard channel letter

Service on LED channel letters more times then not is the power supplies. The modules themselves not so much unless they are a cheap crappy POS brand, and we've seen that too. If the letters were made right the trim is not usually an issue.
  4. Suggestions Best substrate for ballpark fences.

We do these for a few schools in our area as well as one of the youth baseball leagues. They all use/want ACM boards, we have encouraged them to switch from 1/8" to 1/4" as it hold up a lot better/longer. Dents from baseballs don't seem to be an issue. We use hooks a couple inches in from...
  5. Looking for some 3M material

I kind of have to laugh, our new Fellers Rep happened to call during all of this and let our Art dept. ladies know who he was and asked how things were and if she needed anything, so she informed him of this issue...said he would get back to her within an hour with an answer...still...
  6. Looking for some 3M material

Yeah we went ahead an ordered it yesterday from Grimco...at that time it said 19 days out. We figured at least we have it on the way...maybe. Unfortunately we have some printing projects at a local school that we will be running short on, which is why we are looking for it.
  7. Looking for some 3M material

Or a suggestion for an equivalent material would work as well, we prefer to use 3M products.
  8. Looking for some 3M material

I am looking for a supplier for the following: 3M IJ3650-10 Printable White 54" x 50yrd Fellers and Grimco are saying they cant get it or its been discontinued. We called 3M and they have no clue why they are saying that. Anyone use this and have a supplier we can contact? We are needing...
  9. Employee Retention and new applicants

I never said there was a pay cap, I was giving an example of pay. As for upward mobility, where would you see an installer move up to?? Not trying to seem bitchy about it, but if that's what you are hired as that's the job you do. Not to say they never do anything else, they do also work in...
  10. Employee Retention and new applicants

At this moment we have 19 employees total, to include front office, shop, Art dept. and outside crew. And that is about our normal average. Our main focus is and has always been our custom/local sign work. The biggest profit center is service/repair work, but that can be slow this time of...
  11. Employee Retention and new applicants

Why is this a problem??? Everybody loves it, the place smells great while its cooking and we even provide Cupcakes for desert!! Usually something festive like Andes Candies mint cupcakes, or Baileys Irish Cream Cupcakes! Yummy!! :)
  12. Employee Retention and new applicants

Lack of work or being to busy for the installers at the moment ( can change with the wind) I don't think is a problem....Service...well that's another story, but that always slows down during spring and summer. A comment was made by the departing installer he is getting to old for this (in his...
  13. Employee Retention and new applicants

So what does your company do to keep your best employees? Are there incentives you have come up with, bonuses, extra paid days off in addition to raises? Is it always just about the money for them? We seem over and over to have a hard time keep certain positions filled ( installer, painter)...
  14. Rant When did this all come about.......?????
