Do you have something that is a known thickness? Like a 1/4 inch acrylic? Place in each corner and press remote. Deviation should be less than .1 mm in each corner
If it drops all the way the optical sensor is so misaligned it's seeing the table or carriage.

Digiprint supplies and Alibaba have less than A grade printheads. Nothing wrong with them but they are not perfect and may have some minor jetting issues. I have several Gen5 available direct from Ricoh if anyone needs the Gen 5
You either have an issue with the hot water heater or the pump. If the tech who installed the machine didn't prime the pump prior to turning it on that can put tremendous stress on the pump itself. If you constantly get the head temp please wait and you are certain that there isn't an over...

Thanks for all the feedback! The 3042-HG is in full production and is one of our go-to machines for production. I have about 4-5K in parts/heads. I don't use the OEM Mimaki head assembly because it costs so much so I source my heads separately and then purchase the damper and damper adapter...
Who was your dealer? I have worked for a Mimaki dealer for years and if we ever had a machine with these issues we would send the unit back. I'm assuming you bought from a smaller mom/pop dealer because any reputable dealer would have made it right.

I recommend purchasing two flushing cartridges and that you flush the white system completely. You may also need to change the dampers because that black pigment is extremely difficult to get rid of completely.
