Encoder reader could be bad. Years back I had carriage errors. New encoder reader fixed it. Also the brushes wear out every few years on the carriage motor
What state are you in? Do you get the same error on every restart? A lot of the error codes you get on these machines are bogus and due to something simple that's why I ask do you always get that error on restart?
Did you ever get an answer? Basically the printer doesn't know what size the sign is so when the sign passed beyond the media sensor, it stops printing. The solution is in media configuration where you tell the printer the size.
Post a picture of your cyan prime bar. Even one or two bad jets can mess you up. What's your head height setting? You want that to be as low as possible. It's under "printing". Run automatic calibrations for bidi and head to head. Try it again after all this

I did finally repair one of my cutters. I replaced the y axis ribbon cable and the xy board and it worked. I'd be glad to provide part number and supplier phone number
Does anybody have a suggestion for what to buy for wiping HP UV print heads, FB00? I'm wondering if some of the cheaper stuff on Amazon is OK. I know denatured alcohol isn't the best thing. Denatured alcohol tends to cause things to dry up on you.

The y cable is inside the cutting arm. I just want to talk to someone whose done it before because it has to be secured by tape in some specific areas. Manual is a bit light on details.
