speed control knob adjuster or the speed control unit/module inside the side of the laminator itself?

I was led to one of your old posts on here regarding your UST laminator. My dog chewed some wires and i guess they shorted out and blew the fuse. So when i wired everything back up together and put a new fuse in it, my speed adjustment goes from zero to full blast, there is no adjustment. Do you have any advice on where i should start to be able to fix this?
