  1. Best Windows PC 2023

I'm a fan of Dell systems for 1 reason, there is a sticker with a serial number on the PC, if you ever need to reinstall windows, you type that number into dells site and it let's you download the drivers for every component in that PC, it's saved me hours of time!
  2. Anyone have 3M 3645 floor laminate?

Yeah we have some large floor graphics in the main lobby of our local hospital, tons of floor traffic but it's still held up very well 3 years later ecause of this laminate
  3. F1612 Router issue

This has been happening for about 6 months now, so unfortunatly a restart doesn't cut it (no pun intended) Settings are the same they have always been, the attached photo was 0.25" thick acrylic, cut with a 4mm up cut endmill, 1st pass was 4mm, 2nd pass completed the cut. Even when I use a...
  4. F1612 Router issue

I've been having an issue with our 1612 and the standard router module. When routering sheet goods that require multiple passes, the last pass does not perfectly line up with the other passes on the X axis, it's like the final pass is shifted to the right by a few thou for the final pass. Has...
  5. The sound is making me crazy!!!

Wierd our s80600 is dead silent when it's running, when I first got it I thought something was wrong because our previous roland printers all made high pitched wirring noises as the print head moved back and forth.

  7. Need Help UV ink vs adhesive on coro signs

Why would you give full sheet discount on 5 signs? Last I checked you fit 12 yard signs on a sheet...
  8. Need Help UV ink vs adhesive on coro signs

We don't have a flatbed, so for smaller coro sign orders we print on cheap vinyl and stick them down with our rolls roller, then cut them on our summa, but any orders over 24 signs we get flatbed printed by a wholesaler.
  9. Suggestions How often do you all get your Gerber equipment serviced?

we have the samesetup as you. bought it used 11 years ago, never hd it serviced, heck I even stoopped cleaning the printhead because i found it works better dirty lol.
  10. Used Aluminum Composite Sign Panel Sheet

I wouldn't have thought anyone would recycle it, the work involved in seperating the plastic from the aluminum can't be worth the $1.00 of aluminum in a sheet.
  11. Credit Card Stolen Number, how did it happen?

I just had my company visa compromised, someone used to to buy almost $40,000 worth of Google ads, not sure how they turn that into cash, but the bank just cancelled the card and sent me a new one no skin off my nose.
  12. Bought a new laser engraving cutting machine, need help with setup please.

I would reccomend posting this question in the laser engraving section of sawmillcreek.org, they have a much larger laser user base than this site. All I can think of is somehow your water chiller lines and air assist lines got mixed up somehow.
  13. What the heck is IJ-40 anyway?

In my experience ij40 peels itself off windows, ij35 does not lol.

In Onyx Cut Server there is an option for rotating the graphic, just select 180 degrees and it should work fine.
  15. Suggestions Add Canon Colorado 1650/M3 or Epson S60600/S60600L?

Pat, I think I've told you a out my thoughts on our epson s80600, it's been a real workhorse with minimal maintenance needed. If I had to buy a new printer tomorrow it would be another epson. The Colorado looks like a great machine, but it's waaaaayy too much printer for us. Yes at times it...
  16. Non Adhesive clear

Thanks, it doesn't need to be optically clear. We've been using a product from Magic that works ok but it's very expensive and had to be imported from the states which pretty much doubles the cost. For donor plaques that don't change we also print on clear vinyl and just adhere it to the...
  17. Non Adhesive clear

Does anyone know of a solvent printable clear film that does not have adhesive? Something like a clear acetate? We use it for printing donor names and sandwiching between 2 layers of acrylic.
  18. Standard/common practice question

I always assumed the overlays were done to ensure the text/number is straight and falls exactly where you want it, I never even thought about people changing phone numbers.
  19. Price check: Install 4 posts along a hillside

This x 1000!! We also don;t do wraps for the same reason, there are shops out there that do wraps all day long who can knock out a transit van in a day, and it will look better than my attempt which would take 4 days, In the time it takes me to wrap a car, i could produce 5 times the profit...
  20. Price check: Install 4 posts along a hillside

My advise is to know your shop rate, quote your price at what you need to in order to be profitable. If you get it great, if not, oh well.
