Don't use tape, peel a few inches of backer paper off and use the top of the vinyl as your hinge. I usually install frosting wet, it makes it easier to get get a perfect install.

The automark is a calendered vinyl, and the Arlon is cast. We use automark for spot graphics on vehicles, but I wouldn't use it to wrap anything, especially not for a good client. I dont wrap, but my installer loves the SLX+, he said it's the closest to 3M 180 he has used.

Tapping acrylic is a PITA if you aren't set up for it or don't have experience, if you want to mechanically fasten the letters, just get them from Gemini and save yourself hours of messing around. I think vhb and silicone would be fine for these.

The thermal printers print white really well, but the image quality is very poor, not what you want for vibrant skateboard decals.
