  1. Lamination problem

Looks like it's not going through straight? Don't over tighten the roller either and you really don't need heat. That's not silvering.
  2. Printed Color Change Wrap

Raising your price won't make anything better, time is still an issue. You can hire help, weed out some of this new business you are getting or move on from the wrap people. Over the years we have moved away from anything that is too time consuming or tedious, it's just aggravating work and...

There will always be people that appreciate good work and seek it out, that is where you come into play. Unfortunately, you still have to deal with the ones that can't even match their clothes and they sort of sour the whole deal. I suppose that's what makes enjoyable work a job rather than a...
  4. Graffiti Remover for Window Graphics

If you get it under it. On the surface of gloss laminate, I've used acetone and lacquer thinner. Acetone has never screwed it up in my experience but lacquer thinner dulls it sometimes. Have also used non-chlorinated brake clean with no issues as long as there is laminate on it
  5. Graffiti Remover for Window Graphics

You already gave yourself a solution, use anti graffiti laminate and I gave you a solution, start trying stuff. Mineral spirits, acetone, lacquer thinner, there isn't much to lose here. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. I would assume that the sheen of 8509 is going to be an issue.
  6. Canva purchases Affinity

If I didn't see so many crappy designs done by "professionals" then I would agree you here but we all know there are no shortage of hacks that do this for a living. On the plus side of customers canva creations, it gives you a concept to start from without having to waste a ton of time talking...
  7. Graffiti Remover for Window Graphics

Tell the customer to try whatever they want. It's already ruined. Knowing that this is an ongoing problem, you did your customer a disservice by going away from the graffiti laminate all because you didn't like working with it. Bad move.
  8. Customer wet applied wrap material

I would try edge seal tape or pen? SLX needs to be post heated as well
  9. Canva purchases Affinity

I don't like subscription based anything because you are at their mercy to run whatever crap updates that they push out and the learning curve of this stuff tends to lock you in forever. Like what google did with Gmail and Intuit with Quickbooks. When you own your assets you have the majority...

Bet this will be a catch and kill. M&As are out of control. Still have gimp and inkscape.
  11. Customer has no idea what he wants but wants it now - Rant.

To avoid the yes answer to a multiple choice question, don't give choices until you have their attention. Send 1 option in an email, here it is. After they reply, then send the other options and ask would you prefer this over the first one? That generally gets them to focus for a minute.
  12. How to deal with this

That was pretty dumb. Whoever did it should have sold them on a decal so it'd cover up the ghosting. It doesn't take a PhD to know how this was gonna be the end result.
  13. Timely: Any experience with customer disputing a charge for an order that was produced correctly and that he picked up?

Tell them to bring them back and give them to the local homeless. They will wear them so it's a good deed and hopefully your guy and his customers will see them wearing his shirts. Win win.

There's another sign gal on here from Dallas.
  15. concerned about solid black banners needing to gas out before mounting in banner stand Epson s80600L

Wait a day before you roll it up, plenty of people print these on eco-solvent machines. Those HPs are like an American car from the 80's. They work but every time you turn around there's something to replace or settings to tinker with to get the thing to work.
  16. Any good recommendations for a 40cfm refrigerated dryer?

We had an Ingersoll Rand dryer before and never replaced it when we got a new shop compressor. The IR crapped out in it's first year so we have been running without one for years but we really need to get another one. Any suggestions?
  17. Customer has no idea what he wants but wants it now - Rant.

Considering that it can't even spell correctly, I would venture to say that there is no conspiracy here.
  18. DMCA takedown notice phishing scheme

I've got a similar phishing email but never through our quote request form.
  19. SignGold vs RealGold

Order enough for 1 door and check it when it comes in. You would assume if the engine turn pattern is the same size then it would match? If not, tell them it's done by hand and the difference gives it character.
