Do you think you'll get another and sell the canon?
  2. Canon Colorado M Series.

Gotcha, I misinterpreted what they meant. Are they using the i3200 in it?
  3. here we have another crappy payer

I think those 2 are brothers. One is patient and the other isn't. This is the stuff that they don't teach you in business school but should.
  4. Canon Colorado M Series.

Is the UCJV300 too slow? Seems like UV is the way to go for instant dry except for maybe wraps. Roland has a new one out too I think. Latex always sounds like such a PITA and it looks like Epson followed HP with throwaway print heads. It's a machine to sell you consumables like they do with...
  5. here we have another crappy payer

Those checks are almost as good as a winning lotto ticket! I like the ones who go silent when they owe you money but always have more work for you as soon as you go collect it. It could be 2 weeks or 2 years, they'll just sit on whatever work they needed until you call for money. It's funny...
  6. Discussion Boudica...................................

    Gino? Can you play this?
  7. UV printhead left uncapped for 26 hours, and how do you deal with anxiety?

not sure about the printhead but xanax works pretty good for anxiety
  8. here we have another crappy payer

I think you are overlooking the process, how many hands this stuff goes through and the shear volume that a limited amount of staff have to process day in and day out. I used to be that guy who would use the date and my initials for PO's and then take 2 months to answer the A/P girl as to what...
  9. here we have another crappy payer

From my experience over the years, net60 seems to have replaced net30. Anyone that used to be net60 have turned into 90-120 day pay. We pay our vendors fast but that is because we are small potatoes and have to unless we want to be COD all over town.
  10. here we have another crappy payer

That's life in business my friend. There is a process for payments, a lot of it is for their own security and requires steps to approve. You've never heard horror stories of someone's bookkeeper embezzling money or people making fake invoices from fake vendors and pocketing the money? It...
  11. here we have another crappy payer

45 days, that's really not bad. It's pretty common for POs to not get put in properly.
  12. How many one man shops are there? How many things do you do?

There are many ways to go about it, get an estimate program or spreadsheet or learn how to sell with ballpark pricing. I prefer the latter because it runs off the people that aren't serious. Sometimes people are only daydreaming and ask for prices because they might want to do something...
  13. Canon Colorado

AFAIK you can't with certain products but I was talking more about in house repairs. If a printhead or something needs replaced, I want to do that myself after hours or on a weekend to avoid workflow interruption. You generally keep machinery highly utilized so having to wait a week or more...
  14. Canon Colorado

I'd have a hard time buying any machine that locked me into using their service for any repairs.
  15. What laminations do you use?

    You'd like substance. I wouldn't use 210.
  16. Suggestions Adding slitters to roll laminator?

Don't put your hands in places you can't see unless you're prepared for a surprise.
  17. Suggestions Adding slitters to roll laminator?

I think this is becoming less true as time goes on. I don't use Alibaba for anything except basic stuff like buying squeegees in bulk. You'd probably be surprised at how many well recognized printer manufacturers are using rebranded complete Chinese machines, frames or other parts of the...
  18. How do ICC profiles work?

Also to clarify the transferability of a profile depends on where it was created i.e. flexi vs x-rite?
  19. How do ICC profiles work?

Where does ink density come into play and how is that controlled in relation to color shifting?
