  3. Gold paint for large outdoor sign

What do you want..... bulletin or lettering ?? Bulletin is not for lettering at all, especially a metallic color. Most bulletins will last 10 years.
  4. Vinyl vs. Printing

Upstate new york is most likely the reason. When painting was the only vehicle for lettering, our stuff and most everyone else's would last between 15 & 20 years, but I had some that lasted 25 years quite easily. In fact there's one I was part of painting that's been up since late 1980s and...

Have you always been adhering to black backgrounds ??
  14. Discussion Would you fire this employee?

Torture him first and make him admit to what he has done. Then, make him say he's sorry and will repay for the damages or you'll have him thrown in jail...... and put it in writing. Then tell him, his talents are no longer needed. You're the weakest/missing link. Good-bye.
  15. Is this a polycarb sign face?

I thought it was 12' wide. Probably acrylic in that case and like he said, trim around it. It would be easiest to take down and do it all, if you're replacing the face itself.
  16. Is this a polycarb sign face?

I don't know how you could tell from those pictures, but if I was doing that size, it would be poly and possibly have bumpers on the inside. About what size is it ??
  17. Substrate options for 10 foot outdoor sign

That's different than your original questions. When using MDO,, as you first mentioned, you won't have any grain whatsoever, except for the football patches, which will telegraph through. If you wanna use a birch wood like mentioned, you might wanna consider solid color stain, instead of...
  18. Substrate options for 10 foot outdoor sign

First of all, seems like that are rarely noticed, unless its a lousy fit. Using biscuits is always preferred in wood. The copy and focal points take your eye away from a simple seam. However, I would probably ask some preliminary questions. * The reason for wanting wood ?? * Why painted ...
