  1. "No More Walk-ins" - Good Idea, or Terrible Mistake?

I can hardly wait to reply to this LOL I have a storefront on the busiest street in the area. Walk ins have been the worst part about it and still is. For the most part, I have stopped doing all "personal" orders, unless it seems fun. This is what I say, "Sorry, at this time we only do...
  2. Letters and Large Sign on Sheet Metal Building

Sometimes you just have to talk things through :) Yes- the pads are adjustable. The Gemini letters really are easy to install and order. Order the sample pack and start an account. I always order the pattern with my orders. The first time I ordered I put letters on the side of a community...
  3. Letters and Large Sign on Sheet Metal Building

This is the method I've used on vinyl siding. It's easy to order and with the patterns they send it makes installation quick. Your method seems to work also, just depends if you want the labor of all the cutting and pattern making in house. I assume you've done the math calculating your labor...
  4. Any tips on installing on grooved metal walls

Thank you! I will probably post them on FB but hopefully nobody gets any smart ideas LOL

  10. Printable vinyl for plastic bags

Can I get them off? YES Do they come off without trying? NO I would just try a sample and see how it goes. Like squish the bag all up and see if it comes off?
  11. Aluminum Composite vs Aluminum vs Alumalite ??

I use ACM for most signs. I like Alumalite for longer more permanent business signs. For smaller signs if they are more permanent, I use the .063 or .080 but for indoor or maybe signs that won't be up real long I use ACM. Much of it depends on the budget. I hate to be mean but some signs (or...
  12. Printable vinyl for plastic bags

I use just regular IJ35 on my plastic bags.
  13. Stained glass vinyl for hallway

I have an estimate for the school. They would like some of these windows to have a stained glass look that will reflect to the floor. Ideas of materials to use? Thanks!
  14. Your Physical Health

A friend of my parents (70 yrs old) has been using it for years and swears by it, he got my mom using it for her knee and it worked for her. He had been in a bad truck accident in his 50's so he has arthritis and random aches and pains. He uses it in conjunction with working out daily to keep...
  15. Aluminum Composite vs Aluminum vs Alumalite ??

I only use reflective if they ask - it's very expensive compared to regular vinyl. If the signs are smaller directional signs, like 12x18, you can order some .080 or .063 blanks with the rounded corners and just put vinyl on them...
  16. Any tips on installing on grooved metal walls

Thanks! yes - where the seams are and then there were a couple spots where I cut vertically because of the bubble situation. Using the Big S. was a bit difficult no matter how slow I went. They are all behind nets so even with contraction I don't think you will notice.
  17. Any tips on installing on grooved metal walls

Got this job done Thursday and Friday. Used 180c/lam with primer. I did cut some of the edges of the raised areas. It went OK but a major PITA and tedious. The worst part was I was using a lift and the circles were 47" so I used my Big Squeegee to get the center started then worked out. It was...
  18. Estimates & Invoices

This would be an awesome feature in Wave - but it doesn't have that. This would eliminate the issue of "how much did I charge the guy for just the sign" if they come back and want a second one.
  19. Buying A Sign Business

I have that book but I didn't read it yet. Perhaps I should!
  20. Buying A Sign Business

OK, well, that makes sense. I was starting to feel like a loser LOL Most of my jobs are around 1k. I think my town only have 2-3 signs that are even on a pole. Small businesses I do the logo, letter a van and a trailer, do about 24-50 shirts. Medium businesses I might do 100-200 shirts, maybe...
