  1. Polycarbonate "yellowing"

There should be a "this side out" warning on the masking, that side has some UV properties and will take longer to yellow. I've been using impact modified acrylic on jobs that are not full coverage and it has worked well.
  2. Does anyone use these?

We use one when we tape hem banners to make sure we get good adhesion on the tape.

  5. Flatbed printed rowmark

Has anyone successfully flatbed printed onto rowmark then laser engraved and cut it? I have a client who makes guitar pedals, we engrave plastic faceplate for him, he wants some that look like rusted metal, he currently hand paints each one but that takes too long. My thought is to have some...
  6. Not sure which Epson Printer to purchase

Our epson has been serviced by epson and by grimco. The epson service was amazing, they overnight shipped pretty much every replaceable part in the printer, then the next day the tech showed up, changed what needed to be changed and took the unused parts back with him, extremly efficient.
  7. Sales tax question

I'm reminded of a quote I read. "Libertarians are like house cats, they are convinced of their fierce independence while being utterly dependant on a system they don't appreciate or understand." This thread reminded me of it and it gave me a little chuckle, so thanks for that.
  8. Sales tax question

A few posts ago you claimed you chose to homeschooling your kids because you have the time, not because public schools disagree with your political views, but here you are proving me right.
  9. Sales tax question

I'm a firm believer in Public schools, kids need to socialize with other kids, especially from other backgrounds, social circles etc. they also need to learn how to work with others to achieve a common goal, something that is not as common in homeschooled kids. I'm also smart enough to realize...
  10. Sales tax question

Man sales tax down south sounds like a massive headache! We have HST here, it is added to pretty much everything except essentials (bread, milk, fruits etc) and everyone pays it, if you are a business reselling the product you claim the amount you paid against the amount you owe and either pay...
  11. Roland TR2 Ink by Grimco?

I wouldn't take the risk for $25 difference, if it was 1/3 of the cost I would consider it.
  12. Legacy Software that is ESSENTIAL for machine operation that is no longer maintained should be free. (Right To Repair)

Look at it this way, when you got the printer you were given the software to run it, part of your business continuity plan should include backing up and having copies of all your critical software, you didn't do this so Roland is charging you a very small fee to do it for you. It costs them...
  13. Alternative to Decolit

Similar in what way? All I remember about decolit from when I used it years ago is it smelled like it was packaged by Cheech and Chong.

  16. Just venting - VG series

Yeah roland really shit the bed when they rolled out the tru vis machines, we owned nothing but roland printer for 10 years before we got one, now because of those printers and Roland's horrible customer service we switched to epson and I don't think I would ever go back. They rolled out an...
  17. Will decals stick to vinyl mesh?

No it won't, I tried it years ago for a client, the decals fell of when the banner was rolled up.
  18. Kiss Cut on a Zund/Summa/Kongsberg

I always assumed summa included it just so you could do some cutting with the machine when all the other parts are on backorder...
