    When you onload media they get loud, but they should turn off when the printer goes to sleep after 30-60 minutes. I never manually turn mine off, it looks after itself pretty well

    Don't over think it, a desktop with a minimum i7 processor and 16gb of ram and a.ssd will be more than enough for your needs unless you are ripping hundreds of files a day.

    It's a fine balance, I've had clients insist on having 1" thick letters 5" tall and it makes them impossible to read from any angle except straight on. And others that go so thin they may as well just do cut vinyl.

    Do demo's at local dealers with your files and material, that's the best way to know for sure. The ideal machine would be a flatbed cutter like the summa f1612, although it is an expensive solution, it will handle it no problem.
