AFAIK, they don't set utility poles in concrete so they have some give and don't crack or break. They also have power lines holding them to a certain degree and tension cables throughout the run and on terminations. Guy wires I think? Whatever they are called.

  7. News Save $ on JetBest Ink

I would bet the ink is the same. Companies hose North America, you can often times find the exact same product from the exact same facility for way less in other countries. I know for sure that construction equipment manufacturers do that which is part of the reason why we end up with gray...

Soldering iron, that is brilliant! They make induction bolt heaters but never wanted to spend the money on one. This trick here should be close enough.

  15. Customers in production areas

Nice looking shop Gnubler, do you do any work in there?
  16. Threaded a VERY small screwhead

I stripped that same screw doing a head change and could never find a replacement. Try to tighten it a little before you back it out.
  17. How to explain outsourcing?

Except you're an assembler, not a manufacturer and doing in house work is within the realm of what a sign shop does. It isn't the norm for Ford to make their own nuts and bolts just like we don't cast our own PVC. Not everyone is OK with using a middle man even if they do not have access to...
