  1. Looking for a one color fading gradient graphic

in photoshop: create grayscale gradient from black to white. convert to bitmap> halftone pattern...experiment with resolution and dot size/frequency to get effect you want. If needed, you can auto trace to get it vector but if you make it sharp enough to start with there really isn't any need...
  2. Print matching between two machines

Yup. gotta make separate media profiles for each is my guess, even then you may not be dead on. We're hoping a high level tech that comes in next week will help us get closer, but from what I'm learning machines simply differ from one to another. That said, with separate profiles created for...

  4. Source for "F" Flute?

Anyone know where to get like 25-50 sheets of F flute material? We can't find anywhere that'll part with less than a couple thousand...

  6. Today's partial...

wrap aside, i personally hate when phone numbers are listed as words only. Drives me nuts when they don'y have the actual numbers listed as well and i have to figure out what dang button an "H" is or some such thing....erg

  9. I just threw up in my mouth a little

Not sure if Frank is a great guy or not...but I would say that someone who averages over 1 photo of them self per page on their catalog has either A: some serious narcissim or B: someone giving him REALLY bad advice. In any case, what does it matter to you if his wraps are criticized or...

  12. 2 identical flatbed presses - same media profiles?

Yup, right next to each other...just a forklift width between em!
  13. 2 identical flatbed presses - same media profiles?

Interesting...I'd be OK with slight shift but ours are pretty different. Right now I wouldn't feel comfortable selling the same job printed on both presses (unless we use our 2 different media profiles for each machine, then it's dang near exact). I guess if we have to make 2 profiles to get...
  14. 2 identical flatbed presses - same media profiles?

Crazy talk. There are a zillion different medias and each printer will be in completely different conditions/situations so I don't buy that argument. But...you're saying that we should expect outputs on 2 versions of the exact same printer, using the exact same media profile and media to be...
  15. 2 identical flatbed presses - same media profiles?

Gino - of course the tech and reseller are gonna say that even though the presses are identical, you should expect slight differences but was hoping others out there might have gone through the same issues. Their current answer was "let the machine "break in" and see what happens. If we have to...
  16. 2 identical flatbed presses - same media profiles?

So we just got our 2nd FB700 installed, and are finding in order to get the colors identical between new machine and old machine we need to create a different profile for the 2nd machine. (old machine is still under warranty and was just serviced and calibrated when the new one was installed)...
  17. Latex on fabric - black scratches?

talked to our reseller, he thinks he can get us some profiles that will solve the issue. He gave us a sample printed on varitex and it seemed fairly resilient with good blacks, stay tuned.
  18. New Logo For Customer

I think it's good you are asking advice and keep tweaking. That said, I think you should take advice with a grain of salt for not much experience doing graphics or logos you're doing well. So THAT said, i think you were a lot closer in your versions on post 39. Your latest ones look way too...
  19. New Logo For Customer

You definitely should not crop out any of the letters, I would try and refine it so the words can be seen. Also...as others have said you should flip the upside down letters so they read correctly. The "shading" lines in "extreme" don't do much for me, if you keep em I would make them way...
