Yes, that's super easy to weed. Did they agree to the price yet? I would seriously just cut/weed a section of this and time yourself. My guess is you will be waiting on your cutter to cut vs. the cutter waiting on you to weed and mask.
I'm not - I gave them only one option which was listed above and they declined - and I'm glad they did! I'm guessing the other sign shop is wishing they had declined as well LOL
No updates people - the sign still shows spray paint and no activity.
The last time I did a Ford police car I had to duct tape myself in, drive it to the shop and watch the guy take the entire door apart to get the screw out. Can you call an auto-body shop? Trust me, they will appreciate the call before they have to fix your mistake, if you make one LOL
I would do it in 8'-ish lengths. 26.25 sections. If that cutter is dialed in, you can weed the main part in seconds. Could you post what you are cutting specifically? Like is it a sentence or individual words, numbers? That will make a big difference when you go back to cut apart.

The other sign companies only quote was to trace around the bricks and custom fit a new signboard. I kinda figured once I gave them a new idea they might run with it. Oh well, not a big deal, I'm not a fan of the cold as it's ME out there not employees LOL
I did the first one and the second was a different business owner. Now this one is the original guy and he has a partner and it was the partner contacting me. She told me the original guy told them they had to get a price from me "to keep it local".
I didn't want to sound like a whiner - but...if they really wanted to "shop local" they would have called me first. They had the other company set up already and since they were out here the next day, they were simply trying to "look good" by calling me. They had no intentions of using me. No...
I did not get the job.
Another sign company is there now - and have been for a while - making templates. 2 guys bundled up standing in the snow for - a while already. It's 33 and windy. Not to be mean but I had to snicker when I drove past both times and think how miserable I would be doing...
Well, I'm in the same boat. A customer came in yesterday with this...guess what post I thought of LOL
I'm going to look on Shutterstock, I really feel like I might be able to find the burst or something really close.
Customer wants "City of XXX POLICE Station" and their logo in raised form on the entrance wall. I've put these on siding before, I assume drywall would be easier? (I need to find out if it's drywall or concrete block) I've used Gemini in the past.
I'm thinking the flat cut acrylic letters and...
IMO, you are already using the best cutter out there - a Graphtec. I would get nothing but Graphtec. I had one for 17 years and it still works great. Never let me down, cuts perfectly straight lines for 20'. I bought a printer and it came with a Summa. It's good but nothing beats a Graphtec.
I do it wet on-site then no bubbles on the edges where it overlaps. Plus, it's much quicker that way - IMO - than doing it on a table. I suppose one benefit to doing it in the shop is it's one or two less things to mess up but pretty hard to screw up wet applying.
I will also not print anything copyrighted. A few small things for garage guys if I can print it on my printer but I've never tried to send anything to a wholesale printer that's copyrighted. I get A LOT of people looking for Harley Davidson - won't touch it with a 10' pole.
I made my son a...
Seems easier to just order them online. If customers ask you to print them...
"Because of copyright laws, we can't print them. These were special ordered online a few years back and we just got around to framing them."
What site?
"No idea, I was drunk when I ordered them."
