I have presets setup in Onyx that can put dots only the the top and bottom and left and right that helps maximize sheet size.
I also use oversized sheets when available like styrene, ACM and PVC.
I also have preset templates for items like 18x24 and 24x36 and send just the print file over...
One thing to try, make sure the stroke line is on the center of the line. If you put the stroke on the inside or outside, some rips will read that as a double line. Onyx does that and it expands the stroke and cuts both lines.
I'm not sure if something like this even exists because it was before my time, but thought I'd throw it out there. This is probably form the 1950's since the company closed in 1970.
The C is the most unique aspect and I might just have to find something close and create the C. Already ran it...
Here is the basic concept. (PDF saved with Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities so if you open in Illustrator each page will be on it's own artboard.)
This is cool! Although I don't use it for banners since Onyx does all of that for us, is there a way to change this to put .5" dots 1" on center in corners and then add a dot and distribute if it's over 36"?
I tried messing it with it a little but everything is metric and I think i'm missing a...
Ran through Fontspring Matcherator. Super close to Hedley New and Sana Sans but not quite right.

We had the 1640 and only went through 2 maintenance trays per year. Very comparable to the other machines waste usage. (Unless you're comparing the Arizona Series Flatbeds which wastes ink like the 1650 does)
Then we got the 1650 and it was going through it in 3 weeks! We called and submitted a...
There are multiple factors that contribute to getting the kiss-cut tool to work well.
1. Level Bed - Since you just bought it, was the bed fully leveled? Not just the machine but they go under the table at different locations with a tool on the carriage to make sure every point is level.

Overspray/Static or it's actually in your file and you can't see it on the screen but it amplifies on the print.
Even a 1 1 1 1 on cmyk will put dots in white.
Looks like they might have some nice features! Bummer my 3 year contract expired 2 days ago.
One thing though. SIMPLIFY.....THE.......PRINT VIDEO......PROCESS o_O That was a little busy.
I have heard the HP Latex R1000 works well for thermoforming. Maybe find someone that has one of those. That being said, I don't think I've seen a wholesaler yet that has one of those machines.
Not really a wholesaler preferred machine.
