Onions can take about 20º, if ya cover them with a tarp. Planting onions early, like in the fall is actually a way to have more onions......... more work, too.

Tile it. No one can expect a sign shop to make a solid 50' stripe. See how far you can go with your equipment, stay accurate and then cut the entire file into tiles with a 1/16" overlap.
