Agreed, if needed you can also run painters tape from the face of each letter up to the wall as temporary support while the silicone sets up but usually not needed as long as your holes arent sloppy.
From what I have been looking at the last couple years, a decent xy cutter is more expensive than an entry level flatbed like a summa. Either way you are looking north of 50-60k. If you are feeling adventurous you could probably direct import an xy cutter but good luck if you run into any issues...
I have made a few this year, You can send me what you are looking for and I can see if it's something I can do. I have some aluminum in stock but have just been using off-the-shelf extrusions so far.
I had a friend who has a small voip provided business set up a "soft phone" app (sangnoma) on my phone, no sim required and can act just like a desk phone at the shop (we have 5 desk phones around the shop) so I can answer/call or even transfer and internally call another desk. Works well when...
Is your NIX the simplified version for sampling color or the full on version for color profiling? Have you used it for print profiling? They look neat but have never talked to anyone using them.
Have heard good things and thought about getting one because a lot of the wholesalers I use have MPC setups. I ended up getting a used xrite i1pro for cheap which is more useful in the shop for profiling and scanning. Two very different tools but so far I haven't ran into a situation where I...
I agree with stacking, it keeps the from blowing out a burr on the bottom surface of each sheet and make a cleaner cut. Lightly clamp the stack so they stay together. We use regular twist drill or punch mostly. Step bits need cautionto not accidentally remove the aluminum face around the hole...
I was playing around with one in Autodesk Fusion with variable spacing to try to get the best viewing from 3 images (very basic graphics) and could probably figure out a way to drop the fil in once and have it "mapped" to each instance of the model. Rendering in fusion is pretty good too. Ill...
Yep, classic. Had a bigger ad agency spec pantone colors on reception sign a few years ago. Had gemini paint match it to pantone and it was VERY close. Had the customer look at it in person before installing because I knew they wouldn't be happy with it. Of course they said "that's not even...
Canva bought out Affinity, and "pledged" to pour more resources into dev and distributing. Free licenses to teachers and students. They are gunning for Adobe and I don't see the competition as a bad thing. Canva used to be a curse word coming from customers but I have been surprised lately. A...
Quality MFG in Minnesota, World Wide Sign in WI, Faces Inc. is down south. I would imagine there are several closer to you, maybe Integrity Sign Solutions?
Soggywinter update us with what you find, I spoke with a ultraflex rep that had a few options last year but haven't taken tome to order or run any. I'm sure the CSAshop team would have some recommendation as well.
