If any of your suppliers have a log slitter just buy a normal roll of your preferred media and ask them to slice off a roll however wide you want. Then you can use the remaining as usual (how often do you need laminate full bleed).
Are you pulling media size from the printer into onyx or just using a preset roll size? Go into media settings and placement to make sure you dont have margins set or anything but from the looks of it it should be fine. Maybe restart onyx and see what happens. For the dashboard check to make...
To customers who I know outsource things I just use the term outsource. For customers who likely don't understand that I usually refer to wholesalers as "industry partners". Often when status or location is being questioned I use terms that relate to the process being used like, "it's at the...
Been a long time coming from what I have heard, i dont know about their other markets/products but they haven't been shipping laminators for over a year...
Let us know if you got it! We have a model 6400 or something like that, they are awesome tools and cut acp very well but are messy. Safety Speed Cut is located in Ham Lake MN and are easy to work with for parts and questions. These have come way down in the last couple years. I flipped an H5...
I have a sample of GF 830, Slx, 3951ra proslide en route and hoping to test 1105 as well. I'm tired of dealing with issues with ij180.
Does anyone have a go to test panel for wrap media? I was thinking a corrugated steel panel and test each gap with varying degrees of stretch according to how...
The horrendous banner is not helping their image one bit. "Let's just select each starting letter and mash the + button a few times... oh and squish this here and stretchhh that there..."
It is obvious to me that they will not be attracting much if any of the clientele they likely would be...
He means that it is still a UV inkset that essentially attaches/adheres to the top of the vinyl. Compared to a solvent-type ink that essentially melts itself into the vinyl. Obviously, this is a huge simplification on my part. But for understanding the basic concept think about comaping a tie...
Interesting, you would have a way better handle on that than me. It seems like I see several Amazon vans for every ups truck but then again that could be just because of how they have it setup.
Anybody else think this is another "fabricated crisis"? It doesn't make sense to even come close to a strike, there is so much money at stake UPS will just raise the rates as they have been. If it does go to a strike I would not be surprised if there is something else at play. I'm not a...
No the name doesn't make it any better. However, I do prefer to have English labels and be able to plug it into a 120v 60hz outlet :). Plus going with a US label you actually have some recourse/contact if you get a lemon or need help with issues.
What some do or don't realize is that many or most of the US name brands come from this or other companies as private label machines with a few changes if any.
For example:
I was looking into a new laminator to add to our old faithful Royal Sovereign and since RS is more or less defunct...
I have used the button fix system to mount mirrors before with good success. Link below to the adhesive pad I used, they have at least some loading info available to give you an idea...
I looked into this a bit last year and the consensus was that a high-quality exterior latex paint "stippled" on through a vinyl stencil is the best approach for existing awnings. Also the cleaner the better before painting. I have no firsthand experience with this so keep that in mind, but...
That is good info, and I appreciate the input!
We only run cmyk with the Epson (40600 in single cmyk 60600 is double cmyk and 80600 adds red orange if I remember correctly). From what I had read people have had problems with the durability of the red and orange inks fading. We have had no...
We have a 1650 and an s40600, both machines are great. We print temporary high production on the UV and all our permanent signage or wrap work goes to the epson. You do not know how nice the speed is until you have it, but that being said the price difference is hard to sell. Ink cost is a...
Hard to say exactly because it depends on the type of pump and table setup. But basically in your case, you are looking at pressure/vacuum differential. Basic idea is this: pressure/vacuum exerted by the pump/table to pull the sheet against spoilboard, friction is what is holding the sheet from...
