Yep, confirmed.
1. In Flexi put the shape into a new file (or if there isn't a zillion paths you can just select in and look at the DesignEditor to see what its called, for example "Path 5308".
2. Go to Edit>Job Statistics and find the path name with details.
3. Snip it and go shake it in the...
I used to do this all the time, almost every cad package has that functionality built in. Nanocad is a good free option similar to old school autocad, fusion360 would get you there but be harder to get a "drafty" looking print out of. I want to say that flexi has this ability as well but it is...
Can't help you with the lockdown but from the sounds of it they (cannon techs) have a procedure for leveling/squaring the machine. Curious if you priced out having them set it up and what they quoted.
Are you doing a simple cut shape with the laser or also using the multiple layers? If doing a print/cut I would just look for a suitable printable substrate like thin polycarb, almost anything is going to be cheaper than rowmark.
I used to work in a cleanroom and they were used for cleaning walls and surfaces. I wanted one a couple years ago for cleaning panels before application but didn't want to spend the $150+ or whatever the sign supply places were charging so I went on amazon and got the same thing for $25. I use...
Have seen a fair amount of your work around (I forget if it was magazines or where) and it always looks great. Any pictures of recent projects to show off? What size shop or equipment are you running in retirement?
I run into this frequently as well. How we treat it usually depends on customer history. If it is a low-value account (customer) that is shopping around I will usually just quickly send over whatever files they provided initially, I'm being helpful but not giving away my work (assuming I have...
I don't do a lot of volume but have had good results with pretty much any good quality single O flute upcut bit for acp (usually maxmetal or bebond prem.) I mostly use Amana (from toolstoday) and LMT Onsrud (63-xxx series iirc). Sometimes you can catch sales on amazon for 50% off on onsrud bits...
From what I have heard orafol is having a hard time getting raw materials in (not sure what) but most of their popular products are drying up FAST. I'm glad I was able to get a few rolls of black 751 on closeout from a supplier that was transitioning but I am burning through it fast.
I agree with JBurton, good stuff with warranty is 10x cost (at least) of the amazon/ebay stuff and there are loads of offshore etsy sellers for this type of signage. Something to look into is that GSG supposedly wholesales this kind of sign but I suspect they just pass it along to some overseas...
I have the same experience with gnubler. I get their bid requests frequently and rarely even bother to look. I had one experience with them that I will share, not to slam anyone, just to provide my experience as requested by Gino.
We get a bid request (one of the first few I received from them)...
I found this interesting a couple of years ago when looking into vortex tube coolers. I don't run any coolant but also do low volume aluminum cutting usually 063 and 080. Like others have said the right bit will do the job, but I have no doubt that coolant or lubricant would make the same bit...
Take a look at his books and as others have mentioned look at ONLY the big orders each year and if they are consistent, basically if the top 10 clients in sales each year are consistent and can support the business I would likely move forward, if not probably pass, maybe pass along to someone...
I agree 100%, I guess my point was that there are some customers that are unscrupulous enough to want an extra "freebie" out of an $11 job just to see what they can get away with. I personally avoid that type of customer as I'm sure most of you do, but I would bet S365 and other wholesalers deal...
