I would say no as I have not heard anyone doing it - Gerber would not support it and no way on any 64 bit OS because of the Edge drivers.

All I will say is that some of you really do not know anything about Gerber *.PLT files or you talk in very general terms which will confuse others readers, maybe even your self.

Answered on 4edgetalk - I find it best to disconnect the cable at the PC end. It seems that the systems is holding data / logic and attempting to clean itself up.
