  1. HP FB700 Purchase

I think I mentioned in this thread or another one some problems we have our machine. It is still not functioning properly. Our local tech has replaced everything he could think of, and after many phone calls, we finally have a higher level HP tech flying in from Chicago today to hopefully get us...
  2. thanks gg - I'm finally sporting the new look:

Looks great, I love matte black too. So much so, we did our shop van w/it. A nice, small subtle color logo on the door might be nice, unless of course this is personal only. great job.
  3. New Illustration Project.

Great stuff Joe! I had a project a while ago where we didn't have budget for photography and I did some kinda similar illustrations. I remember I just couldn't convince my client (who is actually pretty computer savvy and creative) that there is NOT a way to do that in Photoshop. That said, I...
  4. thinking about going to the apple side

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPw-3e_pzqU Nope....nope.....not gonna do it. Must.......resist!
  5. HP FB500 Machine $81k ONLY 1

Thought your 81k price included those options....81K is way different than 89,500???
  6. Seal Image 62 plus laminator for sale

Like I said to a few others....this machine is priced to reflect condition. If you wanna use for lamination, it'll likely need to be serviced to fix the roller pressure, otherwise you may be wasting prints. But considering the going USED rate for this model is $6500-10,000, even if you have to...
  7. Seal Image 62 plus laminator for sale

It has something to do with keeping the pressure even. The rollers are in great shape, but I guess the operators were having a hard time getting consistent and even pressure across an entire print. There is also an issue with it stopping mid print, like it thinks it's jammed when it's not. They...
  8. Seal Image 62 plus laminator for sale

Yup, this is true. Thus the crazy low price. Feel free to PM and we can tell you all we know about it. I am not looking to pawn this off without full disclosure to anyone. It needs work, but it'll go for a steal to the highest bidder. As you'll see on Ebay, Minimum price is $750, paid $6900.
  9. pen tool

If you are doing the path in photoshop you need to save the path, then you can edit, save, re-edit that path within the image file multiple times.
  10. Seal Image 62 plus laminator for sale

Just listed this on Ebay in a no-reserve auction and in the classifieds section. We bought it when we first started and found it way too slow and not appropriate for our needs. Currently used as a backup, looking to make room in our shop. Maybe it's just what you need...
  11. HP Latex LX600 or LX800 - new inks?

That was so 5 months ago! We switched as well...still re-doing all our dang profiles though.

  13. HP FB500 Leftover ink in boxes

Sorry, I obviously pasted the wrong thing. Particle mentioned above what I was referring to in this thread, and his issues with ink. Good suggestion of cutting them open, and visually inspecting. http://www.signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=87216

  15. HP FB700 Purchase

Yeah, the last time our tech was out I know he replaced those, sure am hoping they don't go out every other week or so. Guess we'll see tomorrow what this latest issue is.
  16. HP FB700 Purchase

I would highly advise against leaving the white in the machine, unless you do a ton of white printing. You don't get nearly the gamut as with 6 color, plus it cleans way more often w/white. We were initially very happy with ours, but in the last few weeks have had the tech out here for hours...
  17. Trade Printer with HP Latex

We'd be happy to help ya out. We have a 10' latex machine.
  18. New Logo

What Marlene said is spot-on, and I might add not sure I like the "& graphics" font, especially the ampersand. I don't think it will read well when your logo is really small. MIgh tbe worth a quick look at a more simple font there perhaps. Just an idear. Also I prefer gray...overall very nice!
  19. Since I was called out.......................

Dude wtf! We cant say any words that get starred out, but yet the opportunity to view this stuff? Ouch. Just wrong.
  20. Philosphical vendor question

I can see fault with both sides honestly. They definitely should not have altered your art and contacted you first, but you should have been more clear and given them a final size including any pockets or seam allowances, etc. If they would have had hard numbers to follow, I doubt it would have...
