We used to purchase most of our supplies from them but with the recent price increases in maxmetal 'because of the tariffs', we now get our stuff from another supplier. I am not going to haggle for my supplies. It is easier to go elsewhere and the prices are better.

If the printer registers that there is still ink in the cartridge, even if it is really empty, it would probably continue to print.
So if he looked at the control panel it would say 50-60 ml when in reality it is empty.
From my experience with the same printer, it seems to me that the weaker print heads may stop working if you let the ink cartridge run down to 0 ml.
We have tried to get the print heads back but it has never worked after running the ink to low or out.

You forgot to add disposable. Printer may outlast available parts and oem ink.
Don't get me wrong, We have a latex printer and love it. It is HP that I don't like and their end of life policy.
Not sure my next printer would be a HP latex.
We have a L26500 printer and have been asked to quote a sign with almost flourescent colors.
We printed a sample from the PDF supplied by the customer and the colors look dull.
Not sure if these colors are within the range that the printer will print.
