  1. American Pickers

Best part of the show. That guy hits it out of the park every time he works on ANYTHING.
  2. American Pickers

Dude, Pawn Stars probably have a CRAZY amount of overhead. They aren't obligated to buy everything that comes in the door. The owners are the customers, not the people that walk in the door. If I don't want something that comes in the door, and I can make more money doing something else, of...
  3. American Pickers

Ice Road and Deadliest Catch have nothing to do with History, but they are still good shows. Pickers I was in love with, then I saw Pawn Stars after it...and that got my vote. I like the old man. I'm so excited today, I might even crack a smile!
  4. Big Thanks to Dale and the Big Squeegee

It was LAMINATED with the squeegee, not INSTALLED.
  5. Big Thanks to Dale and the Big Squeegee

Best tool in my shop. What was the vinyl, and what lam did you use?
  6. High End business cards $198 each anyone need 1000

I hope "the reverend" checks in with them.
  7. Watch out New York sign makers!!!

Too much soap, and too much opera.
  8. Watch out New York sign makers!!!

You guys kill me. Watch the show before you go bashing it. The website posted isn't even "existing" anymore. This was what came out while American Chopper was still on the air. Yes, he only did the grill, and lettered the truck. He didn't cut the vinyl, in the show he went to the place had...
  9. advice please for first printer

I'd sub it out unless you are doing the volume to get the right tool for the job. I bought mine before I stumbled across S101, and I knew nothing about subs. Had I been able to do it over again...I'd subbed everything and kept my $40K over the past four years.
  10. Your Favorite Catalog & Why

Yea, as far as ordering from a catalog, Fellers nailed it. I haven't gotten one from them that I haven't liked. And +1 for a catalog w/o pricing. I kinda like what Gemini does with that even. I show it to the customer, and know my price is X% less.
  11. Lease a Wrap Shop in South Florida

Sounds more like you need to sell than lease. Either way, in this world...it will probably be tough unless you have just a ton of people coming in every day.
  12. Super stuck Magnets

I would be interested in knowing what brand that was, and how long it was left on. I'm not sure even in a YEAR it would stick that bad...at least not Magnum. I've never had any issues.
  13. Excuse me, did you say Bubble Wrap?

You think it's funny till she decides she really wants it wrapped like that FOR REAL, and she expects some kind of warranty on bubble wrap!
  14. Im Dumb

I must be dumb too, cause I have no idea what you are asking for.
  15. What is the stupidest thing you did at the shop?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I'm laughing so hard right now. I only ALMOST have done that probably twice. I am cutting something and thinking...man, that thing is really pulling out a lot of vinyl for this job...then I realize what I did. Never had NEAR the whole roll though. Bet that was funny.
  16. What is the stupidest thing you did at the shop?

I printed two arrows the same, instead of remembering to flip one of them. It wasn't realized until the installer was out in the middle of nowhere, trying to figure out which way to install the sign. You only make that mistake once....at least so far.
  17. Customers doing it themselves.

We had a guy come in a few weeks ago trying to get us to use them for printing. They were trying to sell us on "wide format" prints up to 24" WIDE! I kindly informed them that I had "wider format".
  18. So it's been a while...Economy check?

We have picked up a lot compared to earlier in May or so. I would be slammed, but I keep "getting jobs" from people, then I end up finding out that they went to the lowballer after they already told me they had the job. Gotta love that.
  19. hmmmm...am i being scammed?

Are you serious? Dude, that has to be a scam. Emails don't drop out of the sky like that.
  20. Contour Cut is Fine at beginning, but off at end

What are your rollers set at for tension? Not sure how that works on a Graphtec, but on my Mimaki...I had taken the tension down, and not really thought about it...well, I couldn't cut squat right for about a month until I remembered I had changed that. Didn't think it could effect it that much.
