  1. JV300 160 w/ Signlab / Rasterlink P&C

The setting is in the printer itself. I haven't worked on these enough to have the menu's memorized yet but if you look up "mark detect" in your manual, it should show you where to go.
  2. JV300 160 w/ Signlab / Rasterlink P&C

You need to go into the mark detection settings and adjust your x and y offset. Rasterlink has a test print you can print to help out but I usually just print and cut a cross hair and eyeball it. It will take a couple tires to get it exact but it will be right on the money.
  3. Mutoh Dealership

As a current Mutoh dealer I can tell you that they are my favorite vendor. When I email my sales rep, she responds in a timely manner. When I put in a warranty request, they process it fast and send the parts out overnight. Mutoh says that their machines average 0.5 service calls per year in the...
  4. Does Anyone Know The Pros And Cons Of Mimaki Cjv150 And Cjv300 Series?

The default setting is every 48 hours but you can change it if you want. It uses a wash solution cartridge which costs about $43 but it takes at least 6 months to use it all. If it's not something you want to use, you can run the machine without it as well.
  5. Does Anyone Know The Pros And Cons Of Mimaki Cjv150 And Cjv300 Series?

If you want the head to last a really long time, if you take 5 minutes a day to clean the cap top and wiper, you will be doing more than a lot of my customers. Once a week take a look at the bottom of the head and clean where the cap top meets up if needed. Other than that, keep the machine as...
  6. Does Anyone Know The Pros And Cons Of Mimaki Cjv150 And Cjv300 Series?

The Mimaki driver tells the RIP what kind of features it has so pretty much any RIP should work. A couple examples that I know work for sure are, Flexi, Onyx and Wasatch.
  7. Does Anyone Know The Pros And Cons Of Mimaki Cjv150 And Cjv300 Series?

They are the exact same machine except the CJV300 has two heads which makes it faster. So the main pro for the CJV300 is it's faster but the con is the maintenance and repair is all doubled. The 300 does come standard with the bulk system where the 150 does not. They both can run on most...
  8. Dx4 Head & Where To Purchase?

We are not an authorized Roland dealer and therefore they do not warranty them for us. The only way to get a full warranty on a head is to buy the head from an authorized dealer and have their certified tech install it. There is no other way to get a warranty. There is nothing wrong, except the...
  9. Dx4 Head & Where To Purchase?

The only official Solventinkjet.com Signs101 account is this one and we are not affiliated with the OP of this post. The responses from people recommending our site are just a few of our 1000s of satisfied customers. If you want to come visit us in person you can come on down to 137 S Lincoln...
  10. Roland Xf-640 Vs. Mimaki Vj150-160 Vs. Mutoh 1624

At one point all of these brands used DX5 heads. All of the models you mentioned are DX7 for sure though.
  11. Roland Xf-640 Vs. Mimaki Vj150-160 Vs. Mutoh 1624

They all use the same print head, the inks all have the same durability and quality, they are all the same speed, all 3 brands are well established and high quality, and they all print 64" wide. The Mutoh and Mimaki will come with a take up reel standard. The most important thing to consider is...
  12. Dx4 Manifold Replacement

There should be a rubber gasket between the manifold and the head. If that isn't there, that's the problem. If it is there and still leaking, you most likely tightened the screws too tight and/or the gasket is broken. When tightening the screws you should stop as soon as the screw peeks up over...
  13. Bumped My Jv3 Now It Says Near End K And Its New!

Awesome! Just make sure you check in the cartridge area for any damage to the sensor. It looks like a small black piece of plastic. Compare what it looks like to the ones that are working to make sure. These sensors are very fragile.
  14. Bumped My Jv3 Now It Says Near End K And Its New!

I got a kick out of this one lol. Your butt pushed the cartridge like a lever and it pushed the ink near end sensor just enough to trigger the machine into thinking the cartridge is near end. Unfortunately, the machine remembers the chip and will not allow it to be full again. You are going to...
  15. Vluejet 1204

Check to make sure that the roll of material is not at the end of the roll and taped to the core. It sounds stupid but I, and many of my customers, have done this multiple times. And yes, even though this error is for the CR direction, the PF direction can affect the CR system. Other than...
  16. Imported File Has Different Color For Cut Contour; Won't Cut.

Do you not have a vector design software? It should be as easy as selecting the contour line and setting your color. Are you just having a hard time isolating the contour line?
  17. Help! Contour Button Greyed Out Flexi 10

Flexi is notorious for having installation issues. If absolutely anything is out of the ordinary it seems to fail. I would delete the current machine setup and go through the setup process again making sure to choose hybrid machine. If that doesn't work, I would just reinstall the whole software.
  18. Transferring Ink??

Smart way of doing it. If OP is going to do it, this is all good advice.
  19. Fried Main Board

The green power light is hooked directly up to the power supply. They designed it this way to let you know that the power supply is working but the brains of the machine are dead. The machine also has limited protection from shorts especially when it comes to the head. Sometimes the issue is...
  20. Transferring Ink??

I have heard of people doing it successfully but as a tech I have to give the paranoid answer. The major concern is that you might put too much pressure into the new cartridge. This will put more pressure on the whole ink system. One outcome of that could be that you leave for the day, a small...
