I was printing the fun stuff earlier. I snapped that during a job that I've had on hold for a week until I got up and running.

Thanks. No I don't have it plugged into a UPS, just a surge protector. Is there one you'd recommend?

He said If I wanted to try printing after he replaces the fuse without replacing the printhead, he'd have to get clearance from his boss. So in other words, if we try this and it blows the board, its on me.

What makes you say that? If I don't need a new print head, I sure as hell don't wanna have to buy one.

Question I talked to the tech a couple hours ago. He said that because the fuse is blown, he has to replace the print head. His reason being that the head is what causes the fuse to blow, so it is likely damaged and must be replaced.

Above the the fuse i think it said f2 or f3

I believe it was the main board

I had my electrical engineer friend come down and he looked at my main board. Sure enough, I blew a fuse and for right now all I can print is black/blue. I've got a tech coming down friday. There's not a way I could fix this myself is there? I'm too scared to fry the board and then have a real...

I'm sorry to hear that. The one's in Bloomington have been pretty knowledgeable. I usually get most of my tech work done through Chicago.

So would latex hold up better than solvent? I'd hate to be in a print shop using one of these if I was allergic to latex.
