NO.....when connected to a roland via PRINTER PORT you can cut right from corel.....been soin it since 93......

try making what you what to cut HAIRLINE...no fill.... and you nee the driver DO27290J.EXE

youre not doin something right. pnc-960 is a 24" machine, similar to a pnc-1100. i think the 960 is a newer version of the 1100. you need to get the right driver at www.rolanddg.com and it should be the DO2729OJ.EXE when you install it, you can change the page cut size to anything you want up...

mac'S are different.... i dont think it will work direct from corel like it does on a pc. PC enterpolates anything for the plotter as a HPGL....if you can emulate that on a mac....then it will work

id say the problem is with SOLID WORKS...what ever that is...

i got 2 PNC-1100's sittin. i got a CX-300 for all my work and luv it.....24" rolands are plentiful....PNC-960, PNC-950 ...now these are not the same as a CM/CX-24. the old PNC machines are the PRO model....

take off the cover(over center of rollers)there is a small flat electric wire that travels with the head....and is connected to the body....i had one got chewed a little, made machine act up....got a new wire....you may not be able to....as its age....or it could just be lose connection, check...
